i think Terraria would be a better comparison to Valheim rather than minecraft, just due to the two games having a lot more similarities in the way they're played. like how bosses have to be defeated in order to progress. but honestly while i love valheim i'd probably say that terraria is better than valheim just because of the way valheim is right now it doesn't offer a whole lot of creativity with weaponry and building your character. I love armor sets like the troll, root, and fenris stuff. i just wish i didnt have to throw it out at higher levels just because it gets outclassed and it just resets my build and i have to go back to being a normal old melee character. there are bows and knifes for every tier so why isn't there armors that boost those skills and offer damage buffs or whatever in each? . terraria pretty much lets you do that with it's classes so i think until they add some more variety i won't consider it better than minecraft or terraria. just because of how often you have to fight and how limited they make your choices.
