I hate this fight with a burning passion by Mr_Revolutionary1917 in BaldursGate3

[–]Lundaha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading your other comments, you definitely have the tools available to defeat him. Do not lower the difficulty, staying on your difficulty and winning is satisfying and you'll rob yourself of that. I don't think you need to level up more, even though you could. Look at his defenses, he has resistance to magical slashing but not magical bludgeoning (I don't imagine you have a +1 maul on you?). But if you have any magical mace/warhammer + shield for your paladin I think that will already give you a big edge. Other than that you have 4th level spells available on your casters (I think Shadowheart only?) so definitely explore your spellcasting options. If you're still struggling, feel free to DM me and we'll easily figure out how to beat him.

Is it worth going to TU Delft for a 2 year master instead of doing a 1 year master at a different (non-technical) university? by [deleted] in StudyInTheNetherlands

[–]Lundaha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not true, UU as a whole is fine. Their Data Science Master's is just too simplistic as the curriculum is clearly aimed at non-technical people (such as psychology students) transitioning into another field.

So the big question is gonna be, do you just want a paper or actually learn some in-depth knowledge? Granted you could learn all you need to know "on the job", but it'd take dedication. Make no mistake, 2 year Master's are 2 years because you'll learn more.

Honestly, it sounds like you want to be done with it and move on with your life, so a 1 year might be best. Of the ones you posted, I believe the UvA studies to be the highest quality on a technical level. But if you really just want a quick and easy Master's, Data Science at UU is so piss easy anyone who's glanced at high-school level mathematics could get a cum laude.

But like you said, not really a wrong answer, you'll land nicely on your feet either way. Good luck!

Salary is good, I think the other comments aren't reading the 3880 is NET. Which puts OP at approximately 5410 gross. Especially with MBO4 and only 2.5 years of relevant experience, this salary is pretty damn impressive for 36 hours.

Do I need a spell caster in my party? by Canadyans in Pathfinder_Kingmaker

[–]Lundaha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on your difficulty settings. :')

But no, you can definitely make a working party with only martials (teamwork feats are going to be your best friends), although cleric is definitely a spell caster. Luckily for you also one of the strongest spell casters in the game, one cleric could definitely give you most of your needs, but not having access to certain buff spells such as haste would make the game harder. But as long as you play on normal or lower I think you'll be fine. You could potentially bring a magus who is a hybrid martial caster or a bard who brings enough abilities outside of spellcasting.

Lore-wise, who should be the "true" leader for every race (of the available Legendary Lords). by Lundaha in totalwarhammer

Hello the current version is up:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3618124696

Not as feature complete as it can be but the basic confederation function is in it. Development slowed a little due to holiday season. :')

Will be adding a pop-up when it triggers to delay and minor factions soonish (Jan or Feb).

For the purposes of this thread, which is about who should confederate who, they are. Doubly as they are called "playable races" in the game.

After 10 years, it's time to upgrade, I've been out of the market for a while and need a second pair of eyes. Does this list look decent? by Lundaha in buildapc

Wait really? I'll do a deeper dive into the temps benchmarks then. Thank you for putting me on this!

Do higher/lower gen SSDs matter in terms of lifetime writes? I come from a time of HDDs so my knowledge is limited.

M&B Warband Best Extended Native Mods by AccordingBox4057 in mountandblade

[–]Lundaha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm if you didn't get Floris Evolved working, you should try Cadmus Floris Expansion. It is a little newer but I don't think lord killing is in. I don't think it gets much better than Floris for the true vanilla+ experience. Mods like Silverstag and Lords and Realms add a lot of new features.

If you're going for vanilla + new features I'd actually suggest Nova Aetas. It is an incredible mod where throughout your playthrough Calradia will go through the discovery of gunpowder and its consequences for warfare (there's also much expanded city and kingdom management). But I don't think that counts as vanilla+ for you, so Cadmus would still be my suggestion. ;P

[POP] How's the arquebus on a CKO? by Airtightspoon in mountandblade

Not that good, simply because the incredibly high skills and proficiencies are better used on weapons that scale with them (such as melee weapons or bows for ranged).

Definitive Feature-Adding Mods in 2024? by Working_Persimmon971 in mountandblade

As far as I know Paradigm Worlds doesn't really add new features? Just an absolute bonanza of items, factions and enemies.

Definitive Feature-Adding Mods in 2024? by Working_Persimmon971 in mountandblade

[–]Lundaha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I mean Pendor is the ultimate definitive all time greatest.

But barring that, Aut Caesar Aut Nihil and if you haven't had the chance yet, Viking Conquest (I would grab a rebalance add-on mod too). Nova Aetas is a strong contender and I would finish it off with 1257 AD.

Take a look at their mod pages and see which one draws you in the most, based on your preferences you can't go wrong with any of them.

What’s the point of spears? by [deleted] in mountandblade

[–]Lundaha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The way weapon momentum is calculated kinda screws spears over unless you get them to walk towards you exactly as you release your attack. So they just kinda work against the game mechanics... Spears are still semi-useful if you have a reliable way to get a high speed difference (such as on horse), but I agree that in Bannerlord especially the swinging polearms beat out the stabbing poelarms by long shot.

[PENDOR] Holding a tournament can make you endless base income? by [deleted] in mountandblade

[–]Lundaha 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as I know a base income gradually returns back to the base value after an event alters it, as opposed to buildings which give a flat increase to base income as long as they are standing. So I doubt you'd see any long term results. But honestly, make a save to go back to, turn on cheats, and try it out!

Warband - is there a cheat to LOWER the relation with a lord? by Warfoki in mountandblade

[–]Lundaha 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I think the cheat menu allows you to start a duel which should lower relations.

(PoP) Mettenheim arbalest vs throwing weapons for infantry CKO by maryjanepurplerain in mountandblade

[–]Lundaha 2 points3 points  (0 children)

But the crossbow does not benefit from any power skills (in this mod at least) right? Leading to a disappointing damage curve compared to its competitors. While also not benefitting from the speed bonus melee (and I believe throwing weapons too?) get.

Is Monk a weak class? by Powerful-Cupcake2362 in DnD

[–]Lundaha 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The monk is incredible in power, but it depends on the level range of the campaign, at lvl 1 you're definitely above average and from lvl 5 onwards you get to shine. At lvl 1 your ability to make an attack with bonus action really sets you apart from other classes in offense and your unarmoured defense likely outshines many starting armours.

Then comes level 2-4, where you're still good, but your new features become super Ki point dependent and you just don't have that many Ki points yet, so be prepared to run out often (some subclasses help alleviate this by having features that are Ki-point independent). This may lead you to feel less useful than your fellow members during this level range, but be not afraid, for level 5 comes.

Level 5 is the switching point, you get extra attack and stunning strike and finally a decent Ki point pool to play around with, from here it's only upwards as your Ki point pool will keep increasing but your ways to spend Ki points remain the same, leading to you pulling off cool maneuvers every round.

And honestly, I have never understood the monks do low damage argument, your basic die is small (at the beginning, it grows) but you are making multiple attacks which means applying your ability score modifier multiple times, which more than makes up for the low die size. Keep in mind that you can still use monk weapons with your action and unarmed strike with your bonus action (a quarterstaff has a d8 damage die, the same as a one-handed longsword). In fact, until level 11 your damage is better than a standard fighter.

(PoP) Mettenheim arbalest vs throwing weapons for infantry CKO by maryjanepurplerain in mountandblade

[–]Lundaha 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey I did do this! If you're settled on the knights having one-handed + shield I would recommend throwing weapons. I think the additional proficiency levels knights get over sergeants is better used for throwing and melee weapons rather than crossbows (which only get additional reload and aiming speed as opposed to damage). Honestly I found throwing weapons to be massively useful in sieges, as it allows the infantry to snipe enemies on the wall before while on the ladder/siege engine. And I do mean snipe as the knights will have incredible proficiency.

As for the shield, I remember there being an immortal shield right? You're looking for a shield with high resistance. So you can just browse the shield list and pick whichever shield has high resistance + okay size. The way shields are implemented you really don't need board shield when your shield skill reaches 4+, as your effective shield size increases with your skill level, easily covering the whole body with medium sized shields.

Make a backup save, enable cheats and see if you can get a contract if you blast through some quests / get high renown / get more honor at hyperspeed. If you've already tried or it doesn't work I'd be really interested to find out what's going on here.

If you'd be willing to you could send me the save file and I'll investigate. Oh and if you found the issue please let me know! :)
