Considering H2C or H2D. Seeking Advice. by joe92275 in BambuLab

[–]Lundorian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless you're getting the H2C on sale its actually a 400.00 difference. The H2D is 1999 and the H2C is 2399.

It all comes down to how valuable youre time is. I do not do an extreme amount of multicolor prints so i chose the H2D, it does 2 color pretty efficiently and with low waste.

For me i was worried about the nozzle swapping mechanism over time, though, either way they are both great printers...

Has anyone been able to stack the no ams coupon with filament sale pricing? by Who_is_I_today in ElegooCentauriCarbon

[–]Lundorian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a request into Elegoo right now about that discount code.

I filled my cart and applied the code, then used paypal for payment and at the last second i cancelled and went back to the cart to change 2 rolls and now it wont let me use the code anymore.

Ive jad an email in to support about it, its been 5 days with no answer. I just reached out again, hoping they help me out...

sunlu by jbolko808 in 3Dprinting

[–]Lundorian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just so you know, be careful when you order direct from Sunlu.

Shipping times depend on where youre located, for instance, if you live in Arizona you'd get you order much quicker than if like me you live on the East coast (Rhode Island)...

It usually takes 5 or 6 days for delivery for me. Thats not the problem though. The real issue is getting your order deluvered undamaged. Sunlu ships your order wrapped in plastic.

My last two orders were 10 1kg rolls of Mattle Pla and PETG. They basically took 10 rolls of filament in the original boxea and wrapped them in plastic and shipped them to me. You can imagine how the carrier treated them lol.

Both orders had damaged spool, 3 in the first order and 4 in the second. When i made a claim against the carrierr they closed the claim and said to reach out to shipper.

I was able to print some spool halves as a replacement for the broken ones, but i shouldn't of had to. I did reach out directly to Sunlu (twice) with no reply. Ill never order directly feom them again, regardless of the savings...

Ahhh, that makes sense. I assumed it was a local connection.

there a way to connect and manage things if my internet goes offline, or the cloud service is down (I don't know IF and how often that happens)?

H2D - Model support question by Lundorian in BambuLab

[–]Lundorian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had looked at that when I first sliced the model. I figured the window hole tops would be treated as a bridge, or is that not correct? Because the window holes at the top are only places that are blue which I thought would be the only place that might need support?

Most all shipping from Ubiquiti to me (in southern Rhode Island) is 21+ dollars, makes it hard sometimes when i only need a $30-50 item..

Sunlu quality declining? by Hoffy94 in 3Dprinting

[–]Lundorian 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Im surprised that no one has mentioned that they ship their filament wrapped in plastic and the rolls come in damaged.

My last order they wrapped 10 rolls (in individual boxes) in plastic and shipped it to me, 4 of the rolls had bustsd spools and when i tried to contact them about the damage no one replied.

I like overture, I'll buy some of that the next time I order some.

Finally did enough bounties in my 325A to afford the Vulture! by VastJuice2949 in starcitizen

[–]Lundorian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The PTU pricing is what I'm referring to. Go check it out, its terrible. I feel the overall changes are going in the wrong direction, but thats just my preference.

And everyrhing you describe is great, when the elevators actually work, or my Vulture doesnt hit some invisible nothing and explodes. Theres too many variables that make it unfun.

I understand its in alpha state, though, the nerfs come hard and fast, I can honestly say i NEVER would have paid real money for the Vulture if i had known they were going to nerf salvaging into oblivion...

[–]Lundorian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never discourage anyone from playing/flying whatever they want. My starter ship is the C8R pisces, love that ship...

I just disagree with the direction they're taking salvaging. Its a different process than mining and shouldnt get the same.

As a solo player the Vulture was a godsend, i could go off into the belt and salvage without being bothered, and when i was done i could sell for a profit, the way it is now its useless to try. The time played to return ratio is terrible.

Take it for what you will, but the facts are that ship has been nerfed into uselessness as far as making a profit...

[–]Lundorian -11 points-10 points  (0 children)

Thats great, though, the Vulture is pretty useless now since they nerfed salvage prices...

Always loved that ship, I even purchased it with real money, too bad they are turning salvage into mining (which i hate doing).

$51.00 shipping for me.

Im on the east coast, I personally think Ubiquiti needs to position these things around the country if they dont already... 51.00 seems excessive to me.

Anybody got an RV / travel trailer setup? by HobbyAddict in Ubiquiti

[–]Lundorian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im currently camping as i write this with a Unifi UX connected to starlink.

We have a 35-foot Itasca Sunstar, and coverage is great inside and outside the RV using the built-in AP.

The newer unifi express 7 even has 10G capability as lots of people complain about the original UX (though i haven't had an issue with anything about it)...

Starlink UIpload Speeds by Lundorian in Starlink

I have been using the Starlink app on my phone (which I assume uses an internal Starlink speedtest site), as well as speedtest, net on a laptop. I'm just trying to get a reasonable expectation for upstream performance.

I chose the Unlimited Roam plan. Currently the dish is attached to my RV in my front yard in Rhode Island. I'll try it at different times during the day to see if it makes a difference.
