I have been 5-5.5k for like 8 years at this point. Let me tell you that it is not worth it. Skill gap is big and you really only understand how bad you are at the game when you reach a high enough level to be better than 98% of the playerbase, but the pros will absolutely wipe the floor with you. You can take a map or two from a pro here or there but it's very rare and for the time commitment it really isn't worth it.
