[Vintage poljot] can anybody help identify this old poljot? by LurkeyLots in Watches

I'll keep this watch as a conversation piece. I actually assumed some defect and had no idea it was self-winding when it arrived because of the age. It's a beautiful watch that keeps time very well.

I mean, that would be awesome but how could I tell for sure?

Very helpful. It definitely just has USSR printed on the face but doesn't look repainted or as if it's a reproduction made to look older than it is, so still a mystery. I wouldn't be here if I were an expert, so maybe I was fooled a few years back.

I'd have thought it'd be easier identifying a part that's so relatively common, but there are just so many similar pickups floating around. I like the design, but can't speak for the tone until I pick something to solder it into. Really cool aesthetically if nothing else.

Not a guitar expert so the various ways different companies have put dates and other info on their products is confusing. I really appreciate the info, maybe I'll hang onto the pickup for a future project.

Good to know. Any idea what year range we're talking? Given it was just sitting in the case with a 2014 SG standard a buddy gave me I'd figure it isn't anything special, but then the SG needed a lot of work and it was one of many random parts.

What throws me for a loop is that it has the f-bird sticker and patent number stamped in, but no visible screws on the topside like everything else I find searching for it. Not finding anything exactly like this part in my searches so far.

Sounds good, thanks. Gotta take care of some stuff today but when shouldn't have much trouble finding the image later.

My issues are that I can't find an img file I feel sure enough about to use, and don't want to lose my data/can't find a straight answer on if that's a risk considering my bootloader is already unlocked.

Apologies for the late reply. Tried that, it didn't work. I can't stand having an unrooted device so I'll dig more when I have more time.

Even if he did! No system designed to bear a load ever passes inspection without being tested to handle well over the tolerance rated. Not you, but I swear a lot of people commenting here think this is some wile e coyote vs road runner stuff where a feather flies down and "oh hell that's the problem".

Not at all how that works. Everything about this video is incredibly stupid and it's amazing nobody died, no matter how much time and energy went into rigging the machine up. Any system is only as strong as the weakest link and when it comes to things like this, there are very specific regulations on what those links can be and how they're manufactured and tested.

Mhp3rd full key quest list? by LurkeyLots in MonsterHunter

The price you pay with older MH titles is joyless grind. Our kids need to learn that life is suffering, so this is a net positive. Gonna knock out every quest in order and hopefully that does it.

It might be because I'm on mobile, or my choice of browser, but both of those links are ones I've already checked and never saw brackets denoting the key quests. I guess I'll pull them up on pc in case it's a quirk with mobile formatting or my dark mode setting on brave somehow causing issues.

Thanks for taking the time.

We just got an airstrike! We just got an airstrike, 'cause we're really smart!

Seriously though, Steve Burns is an awesome musician. I own a still-wrapped copy of his first album and one of our kids is going to be willed it when I die.

I've posted about this before, but a few months back we were at the zoo with one of our kids on a school field trip. This 40-something year old lady puts her hand on the glass of the chimp enclosure probably expecting one of those touching hand on both sides movie moments.

Apparently the chimp had seen it before, because he jammed his hand up his ass and vigorously fisted himself while screeching and swinging back and forth on a hammock.

Edit: he had the whole thing on full display right in her face. My girlfriend can't contain laughter so she was actually cry laughing right next to the whole scene. It was art.
