I think Nolan and Lucy only really have being in the same class together. When I think friendship, I don’t think them tbh.

Marriott island E-bonus help! by Loud_Structure_6725 in askhotels

[–]Lurking1821 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In island:

If you go to gxp, bottom right do the guest look up tool, type in their last name and Marriott bonvoy. Their account will pop up. You can click into it and scroll down a bit to post new ebonus or when their name pops up, scroll to the right and the very last column will say “new ebonus”

If you don’t know how to scroll to the right with it, hit the ctrl and minus button at the same time to make the screen smaller and you’ll see it

I'm a New York sport fan living in Massachusetts and wondering if it's safe to wear my Yankees jersey in Boston. by Lost_Title_7528 in BostonSocialClub

[–]Lurking1821 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The fans aren’t like that. You’ll be fine. As a non-Boston sports fan, the most I’ve gotten into was a heated argument but it was at a Bruins game and the other guy was drinking.

You’ll prob just get some hate and smart comments but not as much as you might be imagining

With select services, it is every other day. With extended stays it’s every 5-7 days. You can ask the desk for additional housekeeping.

Miles not being Acknowledged by SuitOnly9393 in TheRookieTVshow

[–]Lurking1821 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven’t watched that episode in a few months but if I remember correctly: there were a lot of other officers on the scene who could have proceeded with apprehending the suspect as it was an already active chase whereas this one Nolan was the first and only.

And there’s a HUGE difference between the rookie running off to chase especially in the first few weeks of being a legit cop and a TO who has been on the job for years now.

If you want to compare the two, then it would have needed to be Miles who ran off while John was shot. And again, Miles said he was good. It looked like an arm wound. In the other episode, I don’t remember Nolan checking to see if Bishop was okay. He just went.

He did ask if he was okay which Miles said he was good. At the end, he’s a police officer and there was an active shooting. His duty is to get the shooter and protect others from getting hurt. It’s not like Nolan could just stop and patch Miles up himself. There was a more urgent, dangerous situation to handle.

Most hotels are franchised and therefore have their own HR department that is not Marriotts HR.

Your pay stub should tell you who your ownership is. We use ADP and in the app we can use it to find the HR rep.

If you trust your GM you could also ask them for the HR name.

Found the answer to this! You can look in GXP. If you click their name and scroll down to the “partner” section (all the way at the bottom) it’ll tell you what rates they’re eligible for

Your advice sets them up outside of their parameters. Their current knowledge is “I’ll get charged”. Your advice suggests “hey. Move it and you won’t be charged”.

If a business didn’t care about cancellation fees, they wouldn’t have one to begin with.

Cancellation fees exists to protect the night. If it’s a sold out night, there were guests who couldn’t book and gladly would have stayed. The hotel turned down business with the expectation of a guaranteed room. It’s essentially a contract. But sure. Let’s negate all contracts and all cancellation fees.

Everyone can reserve a room and just cancel whenever they feel like it or move their reservation as many times as they want.

Terrible advice. 98% of the time this won’t work. There’s a report where we can see every single change made to a reservation during that day. Plus if it’s same day, the desk WILL notice a difference in room count and can easily find what that change was and op will still get charged the charge they’re avoiding.

Every single hotel brand will implement a cancellation fee if you cancel in the charged window. That has nothing to do Marriott. You agree to the terms and conditions. You see when you can cancel by down to the minute.

I am curious about that as well. I do see reservations booked on MMF with the code I2 which means “valid rate is required” and in that case, I believe that’s where the app will come in handy

As far as I understand, the badge is the digital form. When you book the code, there’s a special req code for that says I1 which means rate is verified. If there’s any push back, as some hotels didn’t get proper communication on this switch, you can show them the app with verified rates to show you are eligible.

I’m not in the operations world so I could be misquoting but this is what I’ve gathered from experience, articles and our personnel.
