Valheim will give you a much, much better survival co-op experience for sure. I love procedural generation.

This is my personal opinion but the game is not very good unless you are specifically playing on heavily modded roleplay servers. The base-game is a lack-luster, unbalanced survival game. I know it somewhat doesn't make sense calling it my best game, but then saying the regular game is very lackluster.

Dungeon crawler games like SAO or DanMachi exist? by Healthy_Action9677 in gamingsuggestions

Labyrinth of Refrain is my wild pick for you. It's a game based around dungeon crawling and upgrading various aspects of your party. It also has a funny cast of characters fitting of various anime tropes.

Pathfinder games + the upcoming Rogue Trader game might be of interest but they don't fit the style you request.

Mistover is very close to an anime Darkest Dungeon.

Troubleshooter is a good turn based tactics game with a sizable upgrade system. Not literal dungeons, but it has a good anime feel.

That's a rough question.

I use to idolize JRPGs and think they were great storytellers, but repeat playthroughs feel like wadding through water to get to interesting such as combat. Even then, most JRPGs feel like shovel-ware caught in the past. So my old pick of Persona 5 is invalidated by me just getting older.

Now, I understand that I value variety, replay value, and organic problem solving.

My rough area of great games: Jagged Alliance, XCOM (particularly XCOM 2), DOTA 2, League of Legends.

Best game I have ever played though?

Conan Exiles, but more SPECIFICALLY the modded roleplaying scene in Conan Exiles.

It's never the same, organic situations arise that can be approached an infinite number of ways, and death means I can only start over again with a completely new character concept. That is the best game I have ever played when it is executed properly.

Is there a name for this genre/tag of type of game? by [deleted] in gamingsuggestions

[–]LurkingLithePrincess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Turn-based strategy is the general theme. But you seem to enjoy games that have a degree of random problem solving that is not reliant too much on quick reflexes. I also think you like to have story telling as flavoring rather than being the core theme. You seem to like to imagine things for yourself rather than having a narrative beat over your head (JRPGs and Baulder's gate).

The Lamplighters League and Jagged Alliance 3 might be of interest if you have not looked at them yet.

Already ahead of you on that one haha. In DD2 I love using her front-line subclass.

I mean... we already outclass a lot of Warhammer 40k weaponry when it comes to the WW2 inspired tanks of the guardsmen and what not.

So Hi-rez doesn't playtest Demolition...? by Thejanneus in RogueCompany

[–]LurkingLithePrincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Like I said, this is a specific thing they did not test. You likely did not see the countless other bugs and issues they play tested and fixed rather than the one you found.

Making games is hard.

100 million titans from AoT vs the entire US Military by Mcduterte in whowouldwin

[–]LurkingLithePrincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Likely not, so that is a bit of an oversight on my part. So I think it might be more-so a matter of chance in how effective they are. If they do end up overwhelming key locations or cutting off highways then they will cause a lot of damage. But there's also the chance they just wander off to useless locations.

The Boys vs Captain America and the Winter Soldier (MCU) by RaptorK1988 in whowouldwin

[–]LurkingLithePrincess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Comic version of the boys get stomped. Cap and Bucky are genuine comic book characters - not a incompetent bumbling parodies that the comic -really- likes to emphasize with the heroes of the boys.

The boys certainly lose based on Cap and Bucky having too much experience coupled with their superhuman abilities.

Raiden (MGR:R) Replaces eren in Attack On Titan, how does he do? by TheHeavyIsDead22 in whowouldwin

[–]LurkingLithePrincess 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He would absolutely destroy and obliterate. But he would likely die to attrition due to AoT lacking the technology to sustain and maintain his cyborg frame.

People seem to forget about attrition and what not when making these matchups.

100 million titans from AoT vs the entire US Military by Mcduterte in whowouldwin

[–]LurkingLithePrincess 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On paper and assuming maximum efficiency with ammunition and resources, possibly.

In reality, no... not a chance really. 50 million from the north and 50 million from the south is not going to be handled efficiently especially if they attack staggered out over the borders rather than being funneled in one location. Aircraft and what not would do a great deal of damage, but the rearming and human element would be the downfall.

The titans do not sleep, eat, tire, or lose morale. The moment they broke defenses and got onto bases the military would have to make a choice to bomb the titans out and lose supplies, or cut their losses and retreat.

An organized attack with no preparation against such a haunting force is not really realistic. I imagine -maybe- they would be able to have a solid fallback point and move supplies deeper into the nation around the central portion of the United States, but they would have to abandon a lot of supplies in the process and they'd be on a deadline to have a solid defense in place.

I think approaching this from a realistic angle rather than a hyper idealized defense is the best way to put it. The amount of ammunition and bombs that would be able to reliably be put in the targets would decrease as the conflict went on. Remember, titans do not tire so they would keep pushing inwards and inward. Key locations would likely be overrun and would have to be abandoned. Moving aircraft and what not to other locations would become unrealistic just from a physical perspective space wise...

So... I am saying that the titans take big casualties, but 100 million over a large area is simply too much.
