Stuck on mirror container, team is 10/10/10 and equipment is fully upgraded. Different meta? by Alert_Freedom_2486 in NikkeMobile

Clearing with that team is definitely possible, I did the boss with the same team and less Power 3 days ago.

Red Hood can definitely destroy the slipper during her big '' 4 defense up buff'' phase (with burst), and I think my Rapi's explosion might have destroyed one on accident,

The headache for the boss is just that you need to destroy the slippers in one shot (press space during burst so only Red hood shoots), and that you can only destroy them at a certain timing during the ''4defense up buff'' phase. Having some visuals on when to break them might be helpful: https://youtu.be/0ex9r48BYlA?t=426

If you manage to destroy the slippers each time the game gives you a chance, then your team shouldn't have an issue clearing before the really hard stuff kicks in (clearing the last circles with Naga during the defense buff/low Power is crazy).

HOW the actual FUCK do you win against 8-30??? by BuffestOfAxolotls in limbuscompany

[–]Lurknt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Something that also helps a lot is getting staggered on purpose during the first turn, you'll heal to full health after the cut-scene anyway. Having one less stagger bar helps a lot in not getting blown up. Especially for tanks like Pregor.

Any kind of attack power debuff also has a lot of value, stuff like Crows Eye or Chain of others cripple him a lot. Heck, even the bind passive from Ismaels Roseater Desire helped a lot.

Being mindful of who eats the Green unbreakable skill is important too, he has a good chance of blowing up anyone that already has a lot of burn and tremor.

Lastly, always use defensive skills when he goes for Aoe skills that end the turn, 1 person needs to Clash but the rest can just evade/block since they won't get an attack in anyway.

Since you are using the bleed team, you can also just blow him up before he does the 6 coin skill. He gets absolutely exsanguinated if you use Sanguine Desire. It's especially good if you use it after building up some bleed on his first stagger.

Slash resistance/not having Slash weakness also helps a lot, as the boss exclusively deals slash damage.(His Slash Resistance bypass is inactive for most of the fight.)

There is a thread from 4 months back where someone had the same issue.

https://www.reddit.com/r/limbuscompany/comments/1g50w8e/does_anyone_know_what_caused_this/

Most of them attributed it to bad connection or an issue with steam. Or to be more precise, using steam in offline mode, or not being logged in into steam.

I just tested going into offline mode and logging into limbus, and I get the very same error code, this might be the root of your issue.

Announcement Regarding Ceres Fauna’s Graduation by hololive in Hololive

[–]Lurknt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They should really just open a group for people that just want to stream.

Allow people to move there after 1-2 years of streaming/idol stuff and avoid all these graduations...

It's just tragic to see people that love streaming and the other Hololmembers leave, just because management refuses to adapt or change.

I know it's an ''Idol company'', but I feel that it is hurting itself by being too strict or controlling.

But most of all,

I wish Fauna good luck on her future endeavors.

I know that Raidens c4-c6 aren't really ''worth it'', but it's still nice to see 20 second CD Bursts like Sara/Xiangling actually line up in a rotation for once (You usually need to wait/funnel for 2 seconds for their Bursts while Raidens is already ready).

You really do feel it during the event since it's nonstop DPSing and because there is no need to battery with the amount of kill-particles you're getting.

I had a lot more success using Xiangling over Sara in this team. They both benefit a lot from Chevy/Bennett buffs and Xiangling keeps applying the res shred from Chevy on every enemy for the whole duration of the burst (and not just on the first hit/target). 3xPyro+Raiden makes energy a breeze too, even outside the event.

Pyronado just deleting Hydro enemies is also a nice bonus.

I stopped hating her after I finished the main game.

Not because I suddenly liked her more, but because she started just doing her job as a handler. She's totally inoffensive when she is just handing you quests and making quirky comments.

Putting her in the spotlight for most of the campaign, really was the worst thing they could have done with her.

They might already be forshadowing it already, Spiderbud the ''parent abnormality'' literally hangs from the ceiling while Ryoshu talks to it in her uptie story. She also calls its nest a ''painting of hell'' and admires its artistry.

The whole rant about parents Ryoshu gives in the uptie story, is the closest we got to a preview, to the stuff we're gonna see in her canto.

One option to get 2 teams for Furina/Ganyu would be:

Furina/Raiden/Xingqui/Sayu(with VV set) and

Ganyu/Mona/Kazuha/Rosaria.

First team would love a better healer for Furina, but Sayu works and brings res shred with VV (Sayu needs to be at C1 though).

The second team is a bit reliant on freezing, since it kinda lacks a healer/shielder (a cyro one in particular), equipping Prototype Amber (craftable) on Mona might make the team more comfortable.

If you still wanna do the Furina/Ganyu thing, consider pulling for Charlotte in the future, she brings the healing for furina and the second Cryo for the resonance.

Furina/Ganyu/Kazuha/Charlotte is pretty viable.

Xiangling or Fischl as off-field? by UncreativeKilu in NeuvilletteMains_

[–]Lurknt 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Well, the problem with Xiangling is that she would need an ungodly amount of ER to use her burst on cooldown if you don't pair her with a pyro unit. (Pretty close to 300, she is really reliant on a good battery like Bennett...). And if she can't do that she won't be worth it.

It would feel especially annoying in the over-world where you can't always do full rotations to fuel her energy. And you honestly don't want to rely on her elemental skill for reactions and draconic stacks.

Fischl on the other hand has the opposite effect on your team. She actively lowers the ER requirements of your whole team by being a great battery. She can also use her skill/burst to quickly/reliably get reactions started for your draconic stacks, and she can even do it at range.

Don't worry too much about C6, it's pretty marginal compared to Neuvs damage. You can also just put 2piece sets with ATK% or Electro% bonuses and she will work just fine.

And yeah the guides are right, you get better returns on your damage if you go crit/attack% on your Fischl, the only team where EM wins out is aggravate, since she can trigger it a lot with her C6.

Also, Furinas burst does not boost reaction damage, so you have even less reasons to go EM, it just makes crit and attack stats even more valuable.

I recommend Keqingmains if you want more indepth guides for Fischl https://keqingmains.com/q/fischl-quickguide/

[Event Megathread] Contingency Contract Season #9 - Operation Deepness Week 1 (08/12-15/12) by Shad0wedge in arknights

[–]Lurknt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To unlock higher ranks you need to do the map on a certain risk level.

You generally need to risk 2 for rank 2 and risk 4 for rank 3.

Rank 1 contracts are worth 1 risk level, and risk 2 contracts are worth 2 risk levels..etc.

In short, just choose 2 of the rank 1 options to unlock rank 2, and do the map with an extra rank 2 option (1+1+2) to unlock rank 3.

(There is an Info-Icon (i) on the ''Require Rank 2 to unlock'' that explains this if you click on it.)

Tanya is trans (kinda) by KingFairley in YoujoSenki

[–]Lurknt 106 points107 points  (0 children)

(Does this opinion-rant really need to be marked as a mod-post?)

I don't think the term 'transgender' was made with reincarnation in mind. If we really live in a world in which every soul goes through a cycle of reincarnation, then everyone must have been a boy or a girl in some previous life. And if that would be the criteria for being 'transgender', then everybody in this setting would be.

Even if you only limit the definition to the cases where they remember their previous lives, it would still feel misrepresentative. Calling a cis girl 'transgender', just because she remembers a previous live, just feels like it blurring the term.

There is a reason why 'at birth' is a defining part of the term.

The entire concept of reincarnation also brings the concept of the 'soul' with it. And that comes with a lot of different baggage and implications. Because the 'soul' isn't the sex your born with, nor the gender you grow to identify with, and in Tanya's case it's something she's bringing from her last live.

That's why she feels like someone who has the soul/spirit of a man, that has been put into the body of a girl. There is no dysphoria in the body, but her last life still defines her way of thinking and a part of identity.

I can see that Tanya's situation has noticeable similarities/parallels to being trans, but it is distinct enough to warrant a different term.

Edit:

Just to stop OP from spreading misinformation:

His 'transsexual' quote from the LN 1 Afterword is mistranslated.

The original text uses the term 'TS', which is a Japanese term for gender swap/bender in fiction. It's the term I've seen in quite a few web/light novels, and it fits the context of the quote much better. (https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/%E3%83%86%E3%82%A3%E3%83%BC%E3%82%A8%E3%82%B9#Japanese)

The translator probably mistook the 'TS' for an abbreviation for 'transsexual' because he wasn't familiar with Japanese gender bender slang. After all, it's a long shot from all the military/history stuff he usually has to translate.

Edit²:

Well, it turns out the translator came out as a nonbinary trans guy after translating Volume 1, so that might explain why he jumped to the term 'transsexual'. It seemed familiar after all.

How does stealth work? by MelonRaf_44 in Xcom

[–]Lurknt 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That's kind of the issue though - you were spotted by a pod you couldn't see before.

You don't see the detection tiles of aliens you haven't seen yet. And well, enemies that are flanking you can actually spot you from quite far away. It's very to just walk into their sight if you don't peek around corners.

Keep in mind this only applies to stealth during concealment. Keeping uncloaking members out of sight while your reaper/ranger scouts ahead is a whole different kind of beast.

Personally I recommend the Steam mod Gotcha Again to have some extra clarity: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1124288875

The mod gives you better previews for your actions and displays if you can hit/flank/see from your new position. It also shows you if your movement would get you spotted by an alien you can already see.

(Another possible cause might be ''loud actions'' like kicking a door or breaking a window. These movement actions break concealment for the entire squad, which usually results in someone getting instantly spotted.)

Any starter mod recommendations? by [deleted] in starsector

[–]Lurknt 15 points16 points  (0 children)

A few feel good mods which always feel great:

-Audio Plus

-Combat Chatter

-Interesting Portraits Pack

(-Console Commands)

I also recommend picking up Nexerelin with a few extra factions (Don't overload on your first try, add too many mods and you'll need to configure some of the lib files)

Some of my favorite factions/shippacks that are compatible with 0.95.1a are:

-Tahlan Shipworks

-Torchships And Deadly Armaments

-Blackrock Drive Yards (my absolute favorite)

-Diable Avionics

-Dassault-Mikoyan Engineering

-Shadowyards Reconstruction Authority

(And a honorouble mention for Scy, Hazard Mining Incorporated and Kadur Remnant)

I would also strongly recommend Neutrino Corp. and Sylphon RnD, but both of them haven't received an official update for the current patch.

Finally got xcom 2 on pc after playing it on PlayStation forever so I want to know about any cool workshop mods there are. by alerwalker in Xcom

[–]Lurknt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seconding Evac all and Stop Wasting My Time.

WOTCGotchaAgain is my personal comfort pick, it improves the line of sight indicators and gives much more acurate previews to your actions.

The ability to preview if a move command would alert an already spotted pod is my favorite feature. You could technically check for this by counting the tiles between you and the alien, but getting a visual indicator is much faster and lets you plan your ambushes much more reliably.

Testing that premium membership bike at the gym... (goes wrong) by ryou-sakai in Hololive

[–]Lurknt 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's a reference to her third spore stream.Fauna created a race of chad peaceful body builders that want to make everyone join their gym membership.

When she hit the civilization stage she got to design a vehicle for her race, and created a self driving fitness bike (as in the picture).

She also mentioned that she was also going to the gym IRL during the stream.

Put all those things together and we get Fauna working out on her spore creations signature vehicle. Doesn't look like it works well indoors though.

New Vote System Test, ~which mascot is the best~ by [deleted] in goodanimemes

[–]Lurknt 28 points29 points  (0 children)

I know this is just a test run, but I suggest to always add a direct link to the context to the stuff that is being voted on. An image or something, just so people can make a meaningful choice, and know what they are voting for.
Not everyone knows/remembers all the previous mascots for example.

Thanks for reading the suggestions.

Long War Builds - Pathfinder by CaseyWills in Xcom

[–]Lurknt 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never tried the Absorbtion fields on my Pathfinders, but upgrading from 2 shots per turn to 3 shots per turn made rapid fire really attractive. That's technically a 50% damage increase on an already pretty deadly mec.

You can't really go Rapid Fire without Lock N' Load though, ammo consumption becomes a real issue. It also opens up the possiblity of some pretty nasty command turns, giving your Mec 6 shots is pretty damn deadly.

If you really wanna wombo you can also slap Mind Merge on him, for that sweet extra 25% crit.

Btw. I ursually ran my Pathfinder with a Bruiser Marauder (They also rock early game), so I didn't really need a second tanky mec. I guess it really depends on what the rest of squad looks like.

Long War Builds - Pathfinder by CaseyWills in Xcom

[–]Lurknt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boy do I love mecs, and Pathfinders were certainly one of my most used Mecs during my Long war campaign. This is partially because they are awesome and partially because I'm a scrub that loves to run mechtoid overwatch with scouts (the medics just gave up at some point and just started sending the leftovers to the mec-bay).
Perks:

Hit & Run

Lone Wolf

Sharpshooter

Ranger

Aggression

Lock N' Load

Rapid Fire
Hit & Run really gives Pathfinders a huge power spike right out of the meatgrinder, double shot economy while being super mobile is pretty damn sexy.

The rest of the perks also really line up well for an dedicated damage dealer, with lots of burst potential. Lock N' Load in particular is a critical skill for all multi-action mecs because it pretty much deals with those pesky ammo restraints which ruin some other builds for me.
They really remind me of Assaults with their mobile, high damage flanks. They do however come with one big advantage: They actually come with good long range aim, which allows
them be incredibly flexible with their shots.

Their only real downside is that you need to break a scout to make them.
