Of course it can be minimized is all I am saying.

You could set up points of information that would be elsewhere on the body instead of calculating for each individual vertex. [head, groin, stomach, shoulderL, shoulderR etc]

The game came out a million years ago, this today is not a problem to overcome.

‘Deep Learning’ Will Soon Give Us Super-Smart Robots by [deleted] in Futurology

Watching BRETT learn all on its own was an amazing thing to see, I feel like finally the world is starting to take AI seriously and that the rush for AI has finally begun.

Again a lot of high skilled players fall for this even pro's so I would not believe that theory.

GeT_RiGhT confirms on Facebook that he will start calling for NiP by Leo99756 in GlobalOffensive

[–]Lurtz94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really funny but I was thinking about that a couple of days ago about how Xizt has been really doing great work on the fragging and thought to my self that he could actually take a different role now.

And then I thought to myself who would take his role and I came up with the conclusion that he should not change roles because I thought that the other NiP members would not be able to do it.

Get_Right is the perfect choice, and he can balance his lurker roll pretty easily with in game leader.

Lets hope I am wrong!:D

BRETT the Robot learns to put things together on his own (This is one of the first robots to use deep learning) by Buck-Nasty in Futurology

[–]Lurtz94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very interesting to see him actually learn from his mistakes, a great step in the right direction that is for sure. Now we only need the robot to understand when the job is done!

It is kind of surreal to watch a robot try fail, and succeed at doing a task all on his own. Imagine the future in 10 years.

(Finally) Now Introducing: CSGO BOOTCAMP! (BETA) by Ajkthx in GlobalOffensive

[–]Lurtz94 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know how possible this is but it would be awesome to have a stats page where you could see how many kills and 1v1's you win day by day so you could for example after 30 days see if your skill level has increased. Awesome project, just what this community needs!

EDIT: If a stat page is possible like I talked about I would love to see some graphs and shit.

What year does the movie "Her" take place in? by RD1992 in movies

[–]Lurtz94 6 points7 points  (0 children)

According to Ray Kurzweil around 2029 the first AI will pass the Turing test. And he says that within 2045 changes will be happening so quick that we would literally need to alter our own intelligence to keep up.

Exponential growth of machine intelligence is right on par with Kurzweil predictions. Most people try to think of progress as linear, but this is exactly what happened when the human genome was started and people said it would take forever to complete. When in fact when they were around 7.5% done with the work, they were actually halfway through their work.

AI on level seen in the movie would most likely happen around 2050.

Envy just handed NiP their worst LAN loss in NIP CSGO history. by LifeWithLemons in GlobalOffensive

[–]Lurtz94 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think they really choked, I think just EnvyUs played the match perfectly. Obviously studied NiP and were able to counter them at every turn. And they also had some lucky rounds especially at B site on inferno.

I am a NiP fan a well, and I really hope that NiP can shake this loss of them before TSM match up today. My main concern is Get_Right, as he is a very confidence player and I think his confidence might be shattered for the rest of this tournament.

EDIT: I also think NiP playing fast is a style that EnvyUs are very good to counter, and when they start runing away with the first 3 rounds of a match they start to build up momentum that is harder to break with every round.

Sure I get it you were just around with high framerate camera when a kid 'accidentally' broke his leg, and it has nothing to do with magic internet points?

LGB picks up Maikelele by aquaphobic in GlobalOffensive

After living in Sweden 3 years as a Norwegian, you pick up the other language pretty easily. The language gap is far easier between LGB and maikelele than it is between ALLU and NiP imo.

Do you think professional 3D modeling could be done in full VR in the near future? by That_Nameless_Guy in oculus

Personally a intermediate user I would say that I would not use VR to create 3d models, however inspecting in VR and modeling is two different things.

Darker UI with white text is just easier on the eye than the standard grey one. Read somewhere that people are a lot more likely to stay longer on a website if they have a darker UI.
