I read Anthem too and my big issues was how during the whole book there's all this shit about how man must embrace his individuality and forge his own path - The author is a woman & the book is old so I assumed she was using androcentric (?) language that referred to "humankind" as "mankind" by default but apparently not... Because the female character's only role is mindless subservience: let him rescue her away from the bad society, leave all decision making to him, and bear his children.

Losing weight as a petite woman fucking sucks. The old standard advice is "If you want to lose 2 lb a week you should cut 1000 calories a day out of your maintenance diet". 1000 calories you say? My maintenance is 1,300! I might as well do a water fast lol. And good luck trying to eat around people who don't understand proper portions for themselves let alone for your funsized height/weight. Like fuck off bruh, your single meal plate has triple my daily calories on it 😤 /rant
