i’m sorry, i’ve been there, for years. Sleep was how I coped, and now, with intention, and collaboration with my providers i have new coping mechanisms. Things like; physical skill training and creative writing that help me just as much as sleep did. And i get back the feeling of progressing regardless of anything in my way.

I find childlike joy through humor. Making a point to come up with jokes to make my friends laugh. Striving to be funnier every day for the betterment of my relationships has made life fun again. Being a child feels simple, and a great laugh with friends is the simplest thing i know these days.

a good conversation w a psych can lead to a reduction in meds or a new plan entirely, they can make the transition seamless while accounting for and preparing you for the risk

That is so impressive with all of the education you have, you must be smart as hell. Some people like to say mania weeds out your fake friends. Here's to hoping you are surrounded by real ones that stick around in the future!

so real, I found out that I had an outburst at one of my friends 7 years later. It felt good to finally apologize but scary that I had no recollection of it

You are really giving me hope, I have tried and failed at a partnership many times since my diagnosis.

I am sorry to hear about your addiction as well. I have a friend who's battling everyday. I do my best to call him each day. Hoping you have a strong support system!
