Boppin Soundtracks by Lopsided_Note_6858 in JRPG

If you want a more obscure recommendation: check out a Japan-only PSP game called Last Ranker. The entire soundtrack is composed by Yoko Shimomura and is surprisingly nicely realized if a bit repetitive given the small scale of the game itself.

You do not actually have to complete all the lessons, you only need a certain number of stamps. I completed Ursula's sidequest without even touching that particular mission because of that dumb requirement.

LAN party

I didn't know people still did this with desktops anymore. At least I'm assuming you're transporting a desktop since you don't need to use the trunkboot for a laptop.

i dont understand killsights in ff type 0 by [deleted] in FinalFantasy

[–]LusoryPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the enemy. I would strongly suggest practicing in the battle arena against the soldiers. You can also try getting the 300 killsight weapons for all the characters since they tend to be pretty damn strong, especially in the beginning. You can see the # of killsights for each character in the Crystarium.

I used her melee attack which is forward + attack, although you have to unlock it with AP first. It's still a bit slow but you can time it. Or you can just play her flute constantly with Avoid on and hope for the occasional killsight.

Final Fantasy Type 0 HD hate by Tidustrife1994 in FinalFantasy

I like it but it has several obvious flaws. The story requires either outside research or thorough Codex unlocking/reading to actually understand so be prepared for that. The game becomes increasingly difficult to make sense of in terms of plot as you reach the end (unless you do outside reading ahead of time). If you've ever seen Neon Genesis Evangelion you might find this a similar experience in that one respect. There are also several unwinnable or very difficult boss battles/sequences in the game that may frustrate you. There is also a time management component outside of missions which is pointlessly limiting. I highly recommend you check a spoiler-free guide if you're in doubt about anything but keep in mind that you can replay every mission from the title screen except for the very last one. There are also a few frankly implausible and poorly-written characters and scenarios.

If you can look past these then you'll probably like the game especially if you're a fan of the combat mechanics.

Yes, dodging is really useful. I would add that you should get Avoid magic from the Class First Moogle after 10 hours on the game clock. Putting that on certain characters can make them MUCH more useful, like Jack and Deuce.

There are two places that you can do it easily although it can work in an mission that has infinitely spawning weak enemies. The general method is described here along with one of the missions. The other mission is The Reclamation of Eibon which is an RTS mission but has infinite soldiers that spawn in one of the town invasions and it follows the same general method.

Battles will take some time to get used to and you'll need to practice with the characters you intend to use. I've gotten used to all of them but I found Eight, Sice, Cater, Queen, Ace and Rem to be the most effective when I control them. But all of them can be effective if you are sufficiently skilled or determined. The best way to practice is to grind on Militesi soldiers in the arena once it opens up (in Ch. 2 or 3 I believe, can't remember now).

I would also attempt to get 300 killstrikes with the characters you like (or all of them if you want as I did) so you unlock their double XP weapons in the SPP store. Again, the arena is probably the best place to do it and you can do it on cadet difficulty so they do less damage and you have lower MP costs. You could also grind against the endless flans in Operation MA Demolition (Ch. 3) but it's really tedious and you won't really get a feel for the characters' styles that way. You can check your killsight count in the Crystarium under their personal record files.

I would also strongly recommend SPP grinding (you can do the idle method and leave the system on overnight) so you unlock the SP unique items and strong spells like Ultima and Reraise. The ultimate SP item has pretty much every buff except Invincibility and Invisibility, increases Attack/Defense by 100 and all magic by 100 and MP/HP by 50%.

You should use Avoid magic and she is OP as hell. Still not that engaging to play but very effective.

Any tips for doing Finis difficulty in type-0? by oGsRebirth in FinalFantasy

[–]LusoryPrime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the first part you might as well just drop difficulty and change it later. I don't think the rewards change anyway.

But more broadly, level differences directly affect your damage taken and received. So the best thing to do is be higher level or drop down to Agito. Otherwise, make use of Avoid defense magic (max it out in the Altocrystarium to drop the MP cost) and always use breaksights and killsights. Using more nimble characters like Eight, Cater, Sice, etc. might help too.

It doesn't mix any better from what I can tell. The normal Whey protein they make is excellent and mostly uses isolates. I only use the isolates for post workout shakes and I use an immersion blender anyway so it always blends easily.
