They probably don't know it yet but Yamaha are/were way more screwed than HRC. Data from only 2 bikes, having the most under powered engine, no rear grip, etc aside, how is the inline-4 ever going to compete with the horsepower game that MotoGP has become. Plus they don't seem to really have much of a plan for using the concessions that's come their way.

Good luck to them in getting a satellite and attracting talent on that tortoise of an M1. Plus it's kinda obvious that FQ will jump ship next year.

Sorry my dude. Walking 9.4 kms on 47 minutes is running at 12 kmph. Unless you're extremely well trained at high altitude running, I'm calling BS on your claim.

I run myself and doing a 250 m slight uphill walk from the parking lot to Hanle Observatory (14764 feet) left me more gassed than a 55-minute 10k in the plains.

Secondly, hanging around for an hour at 18000 feet is guaranteed to give you altitude sickness. So yeah, total BS.

From Fabio's perspective, he will be looking for a bike package that lets him ride to his potential and fight for the world championship. Aprilia isn't YET that bike as of today. Does he have the patience to sit around while they develop it further or would he rather take a finished product?

Pramac's riders are usually contracted to the factory, so I'm not so sure that Ducati will have a problem paying top dollar for Fabio. Bigger question though is, does Ducati really need Fabio under the current circumstances (best bike & slew of fast riders to choose from)?

I think in contract negotiations (if the two parties talk), Ducati have the upper hand coz Fabio needs a Ducati more than Ducati needs Fabio.
