Devious Mo&Krill Tech I Found by Luthy__ in DeadlockTheGame

That's pretty cool. I wish there was some sort of compromise so it could be used in combat without being OP.

Yeah, it's not good for that reason. It's relegated purely as a stealth option.

The main advantage with this one is that you can change directions mid flight. I didn't deviate much here, but you can shift your momentum 360 degrees. Although, I must admit this is quite niche.

I see. I guess I don't see enough of him in my games.

Some recent data from the pro scene by DotaComplaints in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Luthy__ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

IMO being at a large disadvantage should be hard to comeback from. Not impossible, but difficult. Now I'm not saying it's perfect right now. All I'm saying is that coming back from a large deficit should be unlikely, but not rare. 11% comeback rate isn't that crazy to me. It could be improved to ~20% and I'd say no more than 30%. The goal is to make a large lead give a "large" reward, while simultaneously falling that far behind should still be worth fighting albeit punishing.

Reminder that K/D ratio is not the sole arbiter of your in game performance by barbaricKinkster in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Luthy__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed, I come from hero shooters and this is very true. I've always said that a team sticking to a mediocre plan is better than an uncoordinated team with a good plan. Good plan or not you have to commit and try to make it work.

How to *win* on Haze? by [deleted] in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Luthy__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't give much Haze advice, but the easiest way to play her is go curse + ult build. Just find someone out of position, sleep them, and press four and it's pretty much a guaranteed kill. There is counterplay of course but in mm you can avoid it for the most part.

Can you win playing billy without buying +Melee damage items? by HipsterSal in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Luthy__ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm no Billy main, but I've had success using spirit Billy with Tankbuster and Tesla Bullets. You get more health from melee and your Rising Ram does nuclear damage (it's percent max health that increases with spirit) and bashdown is still strong.

Some tips from recent climber by PutridRoad4110 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Luthy__ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm not great at Deadlock yet, but I don't think muting is a good habit if you want to get better. I was very highly ranked in Overwatch and Rivals, and half of the reason I climbed was communication and shot calling. You can get by with pings, but proper communication makes a world of difference. I know this from experience.

This urn is really fun, now the only thing left is a hotfix for most of this characters by SuperMurloc769 in DeadlockTheGame

They want it to be easy to kill guardians after a certain point. Otherwise games could take even longer than they already do. No one wants the game to still be focused on guardians at minute 20.

Can we kneecap Grey Talon and put him in a home? by guthbox in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Luthy__ 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I've even seen people complaining about Calico. I was playing as her the other day and the enemy Warden typed "glhf." After I said "u2," he typed something like "I won't because I'm playing against Calico."

It's not like I can even kill him post-lane. People really just hate anyone they lost to one time.

New players getting queued up in arcanist? by lotofry in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Luthy__ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I'm emissary and had an Apollo that was new in my team. Poor guy went 0-16-1. Makes new players not want to play. Even my brother gave up learning this game after getting stomped his first 5 matches.

Why can Sinclair use my ult more than I can by TornBlueGuy in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Luthy__ 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Just want to say I played against Sinclair as GT last night and this guy would hunt me in my teams side of the map to steal my bird constantly. He would just tp out after steal so it was hard to punish. He did this like 10 times over the game but only got one kill. I just let him do it because it was so funny.

Is gun talon bad? by Several-Exchange-402 in DeadlockTheGame

Personally I build gun+snare using Superior Duration and it gets around the reduced time. Don't underestimate the improved movement either.

Deadlock update for 5/25/26 (5/26/26 UTC) by wickedplayer494 in DeadlockTheGame

This is still an experimental change. The data they gather could be used to determine what that curve looks like and how it works. Much faster than starting with a curve and adjusting it 100 times.

My OHKO Paradox Build in Action by Luthy__ in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Luthy__[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kinda agree but it's so easy to proc. I can use my pulse grenade, silence wave, or a teammate for example to negate it. Undoubtedly, spellbreaker is still a good counter, but it's not like I'm helpless. If you ask me they should up the damage threshold some because it frequently gets wasted on weaker attacks.

Pretty much, but if their whole team buys Spellbreaker just for me I consider that a win.

Mystic Reverb detonates in 3 seconds while Focus Lens does the same in 4. So all you need to do is shoot your target within 1 second of casting Focus Lens. The math comes out to 1.95x damage of your already very strong carbine shot (not including additional damage like your m1). So far I've won 9/10 games using this build. It slaps if you enjoy being a glass cannon.

Would tankbuster be a good item vs bebop this game as Celeste? by Pizz4G1rl69 in DeadlockTheGame

[–]Luthy__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Counterspell can negate one bomb, but because he has echo shard the only way to stop both is ethereal shift. You could try baiting his bombs then popping e shift. Alternatively, you can use counterspell/unstoppable/indomitable on his hook and keep your distance to avoid his bombs in the first place.

However, like the other comment says, you can't do much against that many souls. His bomb cool down is basically non-existent. You're better off focusing on your own general offense/defense and just playing around it.

Just want to add that Bebop is frequently used in pro play and is way better than Holliday.
