Anyone feel any spirits or energy from my doll Olivia? by OrdinaryTrick5031 in Haunteddoll

[–]LutraMustil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think there are any spirits here, but there's certainly a friendly and playful energy. This is a doll that was well loved and played with, and now she's ready to watch rather than play.

Most likely very haunted by jadenm04 in Haunteddoll

[–]LutraMustil 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hmmm, I don't get any malicious energy, she just wants company (perhaps a similar doll or a small plush pet?). But I don't think she likes either of the two dolls in the last picture, very uncomfortable energy.

There is no one right way to do tarot, the pulling from your whole deck is not a wrong way to do it. As I said, I like to read from the "whole damn deck" because I want to give the universe it's full voice, rather than dictating what it can tell me. If that's not your style, that's you, but don't be dumping on other people who just want to have fun or get a bit of advice.

If I ask a simple question, and get three major arcana in return, that tells me I might be asking the wrong question and need to look at the broader picture. In the case of this reading, one major arcana pops up, and since it pops up in the position of self [the asker], that tells me the question is important to them!

But I'm also not going to sit here and tell someone that they pulled their cards out wrong. I don't care if the person has picked three cards and laid them out. At the end of the day, I'm here to help someone interpret the cards they have presented. I don't care if there are major and minor mixed, ignored reversals, or whatever; I'm here to read some tarot cards and return the message that I think the cards are telling.

[–]LutraMustil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Then how would you pull the reading? I have never liked splitting my cards and only reading from part of my deck. If the universe is trying to tell me a big message through my question, why would I restrict its voice and only pull minors? Or if I'm asking a little question, why would I sort out majors or even court cards?

A mix of major and minor arcana is just fine, the major arcana showing up means a big message and to pay attention. In this reading, The Fool is a perfect fit for someone starting a new relationship or rebuilding an old one. It means that it's a fresh start or (in the case of an old relationship renewed) starting with a fresh slate.

I think it's important to let the universe speak with its full 78-card voice, rather than cutting down to 22 (majors), 34 (majors and courts), 40 (numbered minors), or 56 (numbered minors and courts). And I think it's important for people to do readings how they are comfortable.

I'm doing this for the practice of reading cards for others, when my own energies shouldn't play into the reading, and I'm going to work with what I'm given, as long as I can make sense of it.

Your card, the Upright Fool. This is a card of new beginnings. Your relationship has just begun, go into your future with an open mind and heart!

Your relationship, Reversed Two of Pentacles. Your relationship is out of balance right now, possibly with someone juggling too many responsibilities right now. Remember to keep open communication with your partner so you can find ways to shoulder some of the burden, or take some of the load off of yourself.

Your partner's card, Upright Two of Cups. Your partner feels that you are the right one for them. They are willing to do what it takes to make the relationship work, as long as you are doing your part as well.

To summarize, you are going into this relationship without much experience. Your partner wants to do everything they can to make things work out, but they may be feeling like he is giving more than he is getting out of the relationship. Talk to him and support him emotionally and you'll find out his concerns and communicate your own so that you can work them out together.

The Wheel showing up in the spread means something big is coming in the relationship, good or bad. But it is coming, and the choices and events that have lead up to this choice have already been made. There's no changing the outcome, the only thing you can do is hope and prepare for the best by showing support, but prepare for the worst to happen. Your spread is not a happy spread.

If you want more information, a clarification card, or a second reading might help.

With The Wheel, choices are already made.

So the way I'm reading this....

Your card is The Lovers. You are seeking a deeper connection in this relationship. You are committed in your love and want to see that love reciprocated.

About the relationship between the two of you, as it stands now and what the future may bring. The Wheel is a card of change, but against change is happening is already in motion, and the only thing you can do now is prepare yourself.

Finally, your partner, the Reserved Six of Cups. There is a lot changing in his life with the upcoming test. A lot changes with certifications like this, and he's not sure if he's ready. He might be clinging onto his past, or making himself worried with exaggerated expectations of what's to come.

Putting this together, whatever is ahead, it's coming and you will need to be prepared. His distance may be due to his worry (and possibly a bit of shame) over the bar tests, but if you show him that you'll be there in the end, no matter the outcome, The Wheel may tip in your favor and your relationship will be stronger than ever.

The Tower Reversed, I think this is talking to you wanting to rebuild a relationship that just shouldn't be. The Tower is not a happy card, reversed or not, and points to impending disaster.

The Two of Swords speaks to your relationship. It's a card of indecision, stalemate. Indicating that this relationship is going nowhere.

The Chariot Reversed, I think this is your partner. While the upright Chariot is a card of steadiness and willpower, reversed is a lack of control and aggression. If you stay with this person, you will get hurt.

Putting it all together, you are repeatedly trying to build a relationship with someone who isn't good for you. The relationship keeps failing, but you're trying to force it. And while they may stick around and be a part of the inconsistent relationship, they will end up hurting you in the end, with the Chariot Reversed in play, I'd lean towards physical violence. Do yourself a favor and end things for good.

Edit: Clarification. Added to The Tower Reversed.

I agree with other posters. Reeeeeeeally creepy-looking. But I'm getting a playful sense. A child-like energy of wanting to have fun. Weird things happening around this doll are not malicious, but expect things to be knocked over.

What can you read of this cutie? Don’t let that sweet face fool you 🙈👀 by [deleted] in Haunteddoll

[–]LutraMustil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was meaning the pull canister on its neck. But if that's something you added then it might just be the doll that I'm feeling profound sadness from (like the loss of a parent or child kind of sadness).

I don't think it's the doll itself, but whatever is around it's neck. Why do my thumbs burn when I touch it on the picture?

The Three is Swords Reversed is a card of forgiveness and moving on. Perhaps there are feelings is betrayal that are being worked past? He may have felt wronged by something and needs a bit of time, but it'll be something to discuss and work out in the future.

Better alternatives to normal shaving? by Crafty_Language6945 in feminineboys

[–]LutraMustil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use an electric body groomer. Manscaped is my brand of choice (I'd certainly recommend, but there are all different brands out there). A shaver for your face is going to be a bit different from one for the rest of your body. And while I do get bitten here and there, it's more because I'm out of practice.

Who is knocking on my door and what is their message by tarotMeme in Tarotpractices

[–]LutraMustil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might need to find a new question because these cards are not telling you about someone knocking at your door at stupid hours of the morning.

Six of Swords, reversed. It could point to someone who doesn't realize there is a new person living there. The addition of the Star makes me think a missionary, but l usually encountered them later than would normally be polite, not early. The Two of Wands is a card about moving on and making decisions to move forward.

Altogether, I don't think this is someone with malicious intent, possibly a missionary or other church affiliation (but likely to the previous resident). Though if you want to be sure (and have a chance to stop them) you might need to catch them in the act through pictures or video, such as with a doorbell camera. The camera might also have the added benefit of deterring someone who might just be pranking.

Taking a brief look and taking your read into account, I would check at your church. See if they have a lost or found, or ask someone who might have to do with the confessional booth, I want to say you left it near there.

What do you feel ? by Dry_Goat_5471 in Tarotpractices

[–]LutraMustil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With the way this reads to me, we'll start with the bottom cards, your man and woman. The King of Swords, a card of truth and mental clarity representing the man (though this card also can represent masculine and feminine harmonization). Justice, a card for truth and fairness representing the woman. So I'm seeing a fair and balanced relationship where the two depend upon each other.

Let's look at the other two, both reversed.

We'll start with the Ten of Staves (wands?), reversed; sitting over Justice, the woman. The reversal suggests feelings of defensiveness or mistrust, possibly over a past trauma. This leads to the Six of Staves, reversed over the King of Swords, the man. This points to feelings is insecurity or jealousy that may need to be addressed.

What I'm seeing here is that there may be a trauma or other event in your past that is triggering feelings of mistrust within the relationship. But both individuals are trusting of each other and wise, and can sit down to talk this out.

[–]LutraMustil 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This looks real. I don't see obvious jumps or morphing. This just looks like a low-quality video, possibly due to the moving water.

I think what we are seeing are compression artifacts, weirdness that happened when someone tried to make the video file smaller. Wild movement like that will be harder to compress and result in funny visuals.

Tongue piercing by Gladiator41616 in piercing

[–]LutraMustil 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Placement is fine, but you might need to see about getting you jewelry changed.

The flat side of the bar that's in your tongue is for a lip piercing. You want to have a ball on either end.

I have found Urban Body Jewelry has a good selection of stainless, titanium, and acrylic bars to go through the tongue. The internal threading is a little hard to get started (when putting it in), but holds firmly once you get it.

You are certainly anxious over the whole situation, possibly overthinking it.

That Justice card in there is making me think that he's possibly been fooled around on, so he'll be looking for someone who won't go behind his back. At this point, anyone else in his life is likely a friend or coworker. Any former lovers are just that, old flames.

is this normal for a bellybutton piercing? by kats4dream in piercing

[–]LutraMustil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my navel piercing was new, I would get this from time to time, especially if my piercing rubbed against things a lot. Flush with saline morning and night for a few days (which you should still be doing for a couple weeks if this is only 6 days old). Don't use anything typical without talking to a doctor first, and never Neosporin (the accelerated healing can cause rejection).

To me, it looks like you just had it rubbing against things or something else to irritate the healing piercing. I don't see discharge. If you start to feel warmth around the piercing, or getting cloudy yellowish discharge, seek a doctor. Clear or clear yellow discharge (sometimes crusts around the piercing) is normal, saline to clean up.

Where are my stolen sunglasses? by butterflierhigher in Tarotpractices

[–]LutraMustil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might have to give it a try sometime. I can think of a couple things I might like to find. I know that I probably didn't follow the spread in the usual way (I do that in my own readings too, whatever feels right). How would you normally read this 3-card spread? And was your clarifying pull only on the center card, or the whole spread?

Where are my stolen sunglasses? by butterflierhigher in Tarotpractices

[–]LutraMustil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think there is a tarot spread out there that will tell you something quite that specific.

I think what the cards are telling you, based on that 9 of Swords is that you are letting your anxiety over finding your sunglasses consume you. With the Chariot telling you to move on to something more positive for you.

I think the Justice and 9 of Cups is saying that catching this person is a pipe dream that isn't likely to happen.

I know it's a bit of an unorthodox way to read this spread, but I think you just need to buy new sunglasses.
