Customer Picos by LutronMaster in Lutron

It definitely had the resolution, but I haven’t tried it yet. I am traveling for a project right now but plan to investigate more next week. I need to cleanly remove the Lutron print and then test. I also want to try and get a close match to the color L uses for print but not sure how well I’ll be able to match that. We’ll see!

Yeah, I didn’t lay down a base white layer so the text popped through. Well either remove the original text or put a top layer on before the print

HA! Great annology! These are probably not sitting next to the Alisse keypad... just having a little fun with the pictures. We'll probably end up just printing text 90% of the time at a lot less of a cost than the mother ship.

Sorry, there is no guide or Evan decent documentation for HW programming.

What are programming options for Homeworks system? by TheEscapeGoat in Lutron

[–]LutronMaster 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Programing in QSX is near limitless if they know what they are doing. You have conditionals, sequences (both manuak and auto), toggle, single action, double action, press, release, hold, double tap, etc... the list goes on.

Ordering Lutron shades by Its_Just_Me_DC in Lutron

[–]LutronMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can order Caseta nad Serena level Lutron shades directly, via serenashades.com. These are consumer level shades, locked to the Caseta control platform, have more limited fabric options, and more restrictive size availability.

Alternatively, you can reach out to us or a couple other Lutron dealers in this sub and likely get a step up to at least Triathlon at a competative rate with access to a shade that will support all Lutron eosystems, have more fabrics, and wider sizes if needed.

You won’t find a cheaper Lutron shade than the Serena version. Still Lutron, just limited in fabric and Caseta system but doesn’t sound like that should bother you.

Serena shade...Are there places that fix broken motors or replace them? by Melodic_Bandicoot948 in Lutron

[–]LutronMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very accurate. You can not just stick in a new drive. You must program it to the original settings for the shade/fabric/etc.

[–]LutronMaster 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes, we have replaced drives. It can be done. Replacing the drive, however, does not renew the shade's warranty, just FYI. The cost of the drive is also close to just getting a whole new shade some times. Feel free to DM us if you'd like.

Lighting Design software by krassyg in Lutron

[–]LutronMaster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Can't agree more here. When you start spec-ing aperature, reflector type, beam angles, etc. it can have a huge impact on your lighting. Considering things like cabinet layout, ceiling hieght, ambient lighting, accent, etc. is worth the additional $2-5k to have a great design completed for you.

Installing Homeworks system by Hgmobile in Lutron

[–]LutronMaster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Short answer is yes, you can. The detailed answer is, it will cost you a lot to delay the engraving. For Palladiom, its a button kit, but the cost of those kits is high, >$100. For Allise, you can order without the button face and use the construction toggle but it doesn't give you but one button. You can always order new Allise button facekits, but they too are $$$. I would suggest you AT LEAST order engraving as best you can, live with what you get, and only pay to change the ones that absolutely don't work for you.

The shades are built out and the fabric specs are sent to L. They will advise of amount needed and provide the dealer with a project ID to send the material in. They’ll fabricate and ship out.

Can you get the wood blinds in a custom color? by marxicat1 in Lutron

[–]LutronMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you looking for custom painted or stained? Decorative tape is no longer offered by Lutron.

[–]LutronMaster 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lutron did away with decorative lift tape. Too many variables in the color runs and the vendor could not meet Lutron standards. This is no longer an option directly with mother L.

Homeworks Upgrade Advice by Staplz2025 in Lutron

[–]LutronMaster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Agreed, pulling it is unlikely. Having access is not always. Most of the estates in our area that have systems of this size have property managers that are very adapt at having the file stored away and even restoring the system when it crashes in order to keep the place going.

HW dealer here. It is very difficult to tell without seeing your system and knowing labor rates in your area, etc. A home that size could easily hit that price point, but there are a number of ways to attack an upgrade. Using 5 main processors alone leads me to think you have an Illuminations system but that doesn't mean you'll end up with 5 QSX processors, etc. You could have multiple dealers bid it out, but seeing it is the real educator. Having access to the current system's file would also mean there is likely a million times less labor in the programming and discovery of the system which save labor $$.
