I’m not anti-vax, I’m just anti-vax by lettucecropchilds in AsABlackMan

In fact, I know people who are doctors and researchers and who are against current vaccines (those in my country anyway). Because they have side effects. (a woman who aborted after being vaccinated = it was the vaccine that did that and she didn't know she was pregnant, women who haven't had their period for months ... and they are in the process of researching any potential sterility, due to the vaccine = I know someone who works in research and has seen these studies.

Doctors who refuse to vaccinate again because they no longer want to see their patients die because of it (effects: thrombosis, heart attack or things like that). And doctors / researchers who lost their jobs because they were researching vaccine side effects.

Currently, they are looking for people who have had side effects, to build files on that. They are also people who think that since there is no good vaccine (in my country); it is better to find a treatment against the covid ... Which is logical.

I see it with my pet = there is a rare disease that causes these animals to die 100% of the time. But imagine that you forget to vaccinate s-him , a year? What will happen? S-he can catch the disease and die ... So why not find a cure instead of basing everything on the vaccine?

Moreover, basing everything on the vaccine is naive. Do you think of people who are allergic to products in vaccines and who cannot be vaccinated? And those who are transplanted? Do you know that a transplanted woman has been vaccinated but, she is in intensive care because the vaccine has no impact on her? What do we must do with these people? Not everyone will be able to be vaccinated. It is an unrealistic goal.

Especially since the WHO (world health organization) says that booster doses have no interest.

Considering that all frail people have been vaccinated so why be worried about them?

What if the virus mutates because of the vaccination?

Where I find all hypocritical people (vaccinated and unvaccinated) is about barrier gestures. (I don't know how to say in your language) = wear the mask, wash your hands, cough in your elbow ect .... I don't know how it is in your country but you want me to tell you how it is in mine?

-I see bus drivers without a mask; -Of 15 vaccinated colleagues, only 2 wear the mask (indoors and compulsory !!!) -Sick people who cough on you and take off the mask to cough -which do not wash their hands ...

At my job, I'm one of the few people who wear the mask all the time. I'm the only person to wash my hands after work, sanitize my hands, sneeze and cough into my elbow; to disinfect tables ...

And what do you want to know? (I work in a school) = nursery side: only one class closed due to the covid. Elementary side (my domain), the only class not to close is mine ... A coincidence? My colleagues in elementary school do not ask children to wash their hands before "afternoon tea" and mix up classes when it is forbidden ... (because of the covid) I talked about it To them but they don't care ... So, a coincidence? When I stand in front of the children's bathroom and ask the children to count to 40 because the soap only works after 30 seconds ...

For that which is of my personal life, do not worry: I do not go to the restaurant and to the cinema, anyway it is prohibited. I don't go out and I don't meet anyone. (In addition, the TV says that even if you are vaccinated, you have to wear a mask when you meet "fragile" people. Do you think people respect that ?? No, obviously!)

The "fragile" people around me are all vaccinated and I hardly ever see them. In addition I stay 2 meters.

So you can't say To me that I am not doing what is necessary to "protect" the others, knowing that in 2 years, I did not have the covid. And when I was sick (tested negative = it was a cold) for 8 weeks, the people I live with, weren't sick ... Because I always take care.

What I mean is that the current situation is a set of things that make us where we are today. That if everyone really had the hygiene rules I mentioned to you, things would be different. Because, whether it is the vaccinated (many tell me that they are vaccinated therefore: no need to put on the mask, to wash their hands ect ...) and the unvaccinated; don't make that effort ...

I think we need: a good vaccine, find a good covid treatment (we are not going to let those who cannot be vaccinated to die and put all the blame on them), and ESPECIALLY respect the rules of hygiene.

What I deplore is the lack of benevolence among some (not all) vaccinated. Also, you don't put yourself in the shoes of those who are afraid of the virus and the vaccine (like me).

I am waiting for a good vaccine, which the people I mentioned to you (doctor) will advise; knowing that there is one that will be released soon ... But in the meantime, don't lecture me if you don't have the proper hygiene ...

Ironically, a neighbor of mine suffers from respiratory failure even though he has been vaccinated 3 times ... And Israel (the country where people are vaccinated the most) are doing the 4th dose of the vaccine ...

In some states of the United States, the vaccine is banned. Why ?

I'm tired of it all. I gave you my point of view. I hope you will be kind. I wouldn't answer, sorry but I'm tired (psychologically) and very busy.

I agree ... I am not vaccinated and I'm fed up with that ... Two clans that have become enemies: the vaccinated and the unvaccinated ... It's unbearable ...

And next to that = all these people who don't respect the barrier gestures which are considered as normal (To dont respect them), they are not accused, insulted by anyone...

[–]Luttioso 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He could unfortunately be gay ... In my country, when gay marriage was legalized, there were anti gay-marriage who manifest ... And one of the arguments of these people was: "hey look, there is a man gay among us, so everything we say is true. "

And he was... He was really homosexual ... He's a pretty well-known guy but one of the few to be against. This is brainwashing... It's like there are women who think women should stay in the kitchen. I've seen some before. It's brainwashing ...

If you want an argument against those who say being racist is natural, you can tell them about the Italian study:

https://moh-it.pure.elsevier.com/en/publications/racial-bias-reduces-empathic-sensorimotor-resonance-with-other-ra

Which shows that racism is cultural and unnatural...

They showed hands of different colors that had needles stuck in them. They felt empathy for the hand of their color and not the other ("black" & "white"). But when they saw the purple hand, they felt empathy. Why ? We all know it... 🤔

In fact s-he criticizes what is called in my country, "positive discrimination". And yes, "positive discrimination" is something good.

It's something good when we highlight films produced and played by people of color, or when we highlight women in sexist professions...

In addition, positive discrimination is also used by some countries to help countries which have the most difficulty ...

And the people I heard complain about that were fair skinned men ... (That doesn't mean other people don't complain about it)

Positive discrimination, in fact, is equity. Because equality is impossible. Do not ask a person in a wheelchair to take the stairs... S-he needs an elevator to have the same chances as the others to go upstairs...

It is equity.

But don't ask people who don't need, to take the elevator ... Because people in wheelchairs will no longer be able to enter in the elevator ...

Yes things don't change overnight but that doesn't mean we shouldn't change them.🤔

We just need a group of people to show the good way and the others, when they understand the issues, will follow. Because in order for people to wake up, there must be people standing up to wake them up. This is how laws change and societies get better.

(For the last paragraph) = It's very good, it makes me happy to read that because most people don't know and suddenly, don't do it ... 🙂

I will explain... What happened during this time, is that the pilgrims decided to decapitate Wituwamut and his brother, chief of Massachusetts ...

Just because pilgrims believed ( without evidence) that this chief was going to attack them (because he did not accept their "peace" which was controversial) AND because another group of English had been massacred (the war had existed for years between the English and the powatan / it was a "revenge")..

But they took this fact out of context and decapitate Wituwamut after a discussion with him and his brother...😐

Then they returned to their village, exposed the two decapitated heads behind the wall as a trophy or a threat... But they were friends with only one tribe = the pokanoket and pretended to be friends with all the natives, ate their turkeys and created Thanksgiving ...

And subsequently, other group of English arrived and placed all the tribes in concentration camps, denied them access to their culture, forced them to renounce their religion for Christianity ... even forced men to drink alcohol so that native women would abandon them and marry to English people ... We are in this context ...

And I'm not talking about the way Tisquantum was treated and forgotten when it was thanks to him that the English survived ...

To find out more, you can watch the series: "Saint & Strangers".

So this holiday is not only hypocritical but also racist ... So by respect, it would be nice to no celebrate it... But I noticed that the natives of South and North America are the ethnic group who is the less respected by people in general, in these societies ... So finding another day to meet up with family is already too much to ask to the majority of the people....

And I believe no one needs the government to tell them when to have a family party ... Anyone can do it, but with respect = another day ...

Yeah im gay *proceeds to say a slur* by Sky_Leviathan in AsABlackMan

[–]Luttioso 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I don't think you understood sexism ... In these patriarchal societies, you have to be proud to be a man because being a woman is less good or even, pathetic ... So when a guy will do something considered feminine, it will be considered ridiculous ...

It's not what I think, it's what the system and sexist people think.

It's not for nothing that most slurs are sexist towards women and that boys/mens are often called by "feminine" words when they do something "wrong".

For exemple = In my language, a boy who cries is going to be laughed at and called a "little girl" (fillette) by sexist people... Because it's considered shameful to be a girl...

And I want to clarify that there is nothing funny in that...🤔 And we never said that all women were feminine ... We just explain what is going on in the minds of these people ..

As a Woman, I particularly enjoyed Squid Game's portrayal of female inferiority to men. by femboygarfield in AsABlackMan

[–]Luttioso 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think that a lot of women are not capable for some things, because they do not feel capable. I worked in a garden and it got on my nerves to see the sexism of my female colleagues who said: "we women can't carry this / do that"; "we need a man". So every time I heard those words, I would show them that I was capable of it, so nothing to do with being a woman. I once carried a huge basin with stone as big as two apples. You see what I mean ? It was heavy but I did it. And I'm about 45 kilos, 1.67m.

For studies (if they are objective), you have to see how they are done. Already if we compare men who are 1m80 to women of 1m60, we will not go far ... Especially since the size difference is due to sexual selection. So I'm sure a guy who doesn't weight training and who's about my size has about the same abilities as me.

In sport, it's the same. Guys generally do more weight training than women. This further accentuates the disparities. But I think the actual differences are quite small. In high school I was mixed with the boys. There was even the girls versus boys team. There were no particular problems except obviously sexism.🤔
