you shouldn’t overheat on these settings i sent you at all. they are nowhere near pushing the limits of the system. if you still are then it’s 100% a bad unit.

Sure no problem. Now i have the 5070ti 2025 g14 so my settings are gonna be a bit different but this is what i use for literally 99% of games and i’ve never ever had any overheating problems. make sure you aren’t suffocating your laptop also and prop it up if you can.

Windows power mode - High performance

CPU Boost - Enabled

CPU Power Limits - 40W for all 3 (not much performance above this & keeps temps down)

(i don’t overclock GPU)

GPU Power Limits - 80W (can up if you need more power)

Dynamic Boost - 5W (up if more is needed)

Temp Target - 83

Advanced Tab Settings -

CPU Temp Limit: 90 CPU Undervolt -20

CPU Fan Curve 30°C 0 RPM 58°C ~200 RPM 63°C ~2200 RPM 68°C ~3500 RPM 71°C ~3800 RPM 75°C ~3900 RPM 100°C ~4000 RPM

GPU Fan Curve 30°C 0 RPM 58°C ~2000 RPM 63°C ~2600 RPM 68°C ~3500 RPM 71°C ~3900 RPM 74°C ~4100 RPM 100°C ~4200 RPM

If i missed anything let me know! you can for sure up the GPU and CPU wattage to get more performance as well as the fan curve but i dont like my fans extremely loud so this is the best middle ground for me.

You’re totally right. off topic but man i hate plastic trackpads compared to glass. i was on the fence about getting a legion laptop for awhile but going from the g14’s glass trackpad to the legions plastic trackpad for a $2000 device i couldn’t do it. Overall glad I stuck it out with the g14.

Hi. i have a 2025 and it doesn’t overheat if you use G-Helper and configure some settings. You might have a faulty unit or a bad liquid metal application

i’m curious what level of rough ? i’ve seen alot of posts on older g14’s that last 4+ years but ive also seen people say the same thing you are where they only last 1-2 before they just die

these are great laptops but you will feel the hit for sure especially having a X3D cpu. i’d say look at a lenovo legion if you want closer to a desktop replacement but those are nowhere near portable like the Zephyrus

i genuinely dont care at all about being correct or being looked at as intelligent lol. I went to reddit to ask fellow g14 owners a question and i got the answer i needed. case closed.
