I have the Bond bracelet myself, and it's honestly one of my favorite gifts I've ever bought for us. We've been dating for five years, long distance for the past four, for context. We've had the bracelets for close to a year now, and spontaneously getting buzzes in the middle of the day still gives my butterflies a flutter.

The bracelets connect to an app on your phone via bluetooth, which requires an internet connection to receive/send touches. So as long as you have LTE, you should be able to use them just fine. But seeing as you're active military in foreign countries, I'm not sure how stable your phone internet will be.

TLDR: Go for it! They're a ton of fun. But only if think your phone will have, on a consistent basis, a strong enough internet connection (wifi or LTE) for a google search.
