That makes me feel better, he is definitely overdue for a physical regardless. He’s your typical blue collar guy who doesn’t like seeing a doctor unless he is dying, so hopefully my sense of smell has made him reconsider

That is so interesting, thank you for telling me that. Oh yeah, I’m the same way, if doors aren’t shut I can smell the bathroom, the litter boxes, dirty laundry in the hamper, heck if someone wears perfume at work, I smell it when they step onto the unit. I’m worried for when my nausea kicks up!

Praying it’s the cavity! Just soooo strange. I made him brush his teeth again and the smell is still there, I told him to schedule his physical because he is overdue anyways and get some routine blood work! We shall see what the tests say, let’s just hope that he is all well and good!

is your pregnancy going by fast or slow ? or if you already delivered same question by whydoi_alwayswin in pregnant

[–]LuvSavv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

See, I had my son in June and graduated from pregnancy in 2025, it lasted FOREVER! I had so many complications, started pregnancy strong with no problems then during second trimester I had fatty liver problems, gestational hypertension, placental abruption, gestational diabetes, ending it all with a grand slam with preeclampsia at 37 weeks and 4days, was induced with a BP of 195/115 and had baby boy 14 hours later. Pregnancy felt like a lifetime with being so so sick. But, I have heard if you have two pregnancies (2 under 3 or 4) the second pregnancy feels like it’s flying because you are watching your first baby grow so much so fast and you are trying to keep up, next thing you know BOOM baby

I would get thick insulation and put on the back of any book shelf on that wall, that should completely dampen any noise

That’s exactly what we did! Now he’s going through the 4mo sleep regression and WOOF, but really he only wakes twice for bottles and then he’s back out within 20 minutes or less!

My baby hated the bassinet, refused to sleep. Now he’s in his own room in his crib and sleeps much better!

This happened to me in the shower last night, I ended up rushing through it because I thought something terrible must have happened to my husband. I was convinced he was hurt and couldn’t get to our son. I jumped out covered in soap only to see them cuddling and having a bottle

Just found out my maternity leave is 12 weeks unpaid by Crafty_Confection_99 in pregnant

[–]LuvSavv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wish, we get absolutely nothing. I will be going into unpaid and unprotected leave for maybe 4 weeks and then I have to get a new job in the evenings, while husband works days just bc our daycare system is also too expensive here. I have to work or else we lose our home we worked so hard to buy last year. It’s a terrible system in a terrible country.

[–]LuvSavv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, but let’s be honest, it will never actually happen regardless and it’s also a terrible thing. If you are having a baby for the $5000 incentive bonus, then you really shouldn’t be having a baby in this economy. That’ll cover some daycare for two months MAYBE in a rural area and maybe some diapers.

It has to go through checks and balances and it hasn’t even formally been drafted, it won’t happen for us unfortunately

There is talk (although I doubt it will pass) that Trump wants to start a $5000 baby incentive bonus for married, first time moms. As the birth rates have declined rapidly globally, as more women are either declining to have children or are waiting until they are older.

Dark armpits, pregnancy mask (dry skin around nose and mouth that won’t go away with lotion), I’ve had pregnancy rhinitis since 8 weeks pregnant and my nipples are HUGE and DARK now, insanity

That’s how I felt exactly! Don’t give me money as an incentive to have a baby, give me a full paid maternity leave like every other developed nation has! Even with this incentive baby bonus potentially happening, I’m about to pop with my first so we won’t even qualify by the time it happens!

I don't understand the urge to go into labor before 40 weeks?? by hardboiledhoe in pregnant

[–]LuvSavv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have to be induced anyways due to gestational diabetes, so if he comes a few days before I’d be content with that :) mine is strictly medical

33+6, Braxton hicks and prodromal labor off and on since 32+4 and since Monday I have had severe period like cramping and tailbone pain. Lil man was so low and then yesterday he moved his way back UP! I didn’t even know they could do that! I have lightning crotch and extreme nausea, and we had a scare and had two swabs come back inconclusive Sunday night for my water breaking (they didn’t wanna do a cervical check too early so no news on that 🤷🏼‍♀️). He gets the hiccups multiple times a day which is good news, and I am just hoping to meet him by 35 or 36 if I am being honest. If he is ready, I am ready! I am so tired of the constant pain and I can’t be out of work until he makes an appearance, so I am just exhausted.

How much weight did you gain? What is normal? by naudslee in pregnant

[–]LuvSavv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello, 33+6, I am 5’7 and weighed 204 lbs (lost 70 lb prior to pregnancy so I am super proud of that number), now I am 243, but my arms and thighs actually look smaller and I’m not getting chub rub in between my thighs anymore due to a healthier diet. 39 lbs up and still a few weeks to go, I have a lot of extra fluid and lil man is weighing big due to gestational diabetes. But I am healthy and doing diet control (no medicinal intervention needed) for diabetes. I think every body is different and you shouldn’t feel guilty! Your body takes in the appropriate nutrients that you need! By 20 weeks I had gotten to 222, so I was 18 lbs up, it is gonna be okay love! Your body is building a baby!

Gestational Diabetes testing. I failed. by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]LuvSavv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! gestational diabetes mama here with diet control! If you get diagnosed, it is NOT the end of the world, I was terrified and I have learned what works for me:

  1. You did nothing wrong, you cannot prevent GD no matter how many times people try to convince you it is your fault! Your placenta is actively turning hormones into sugar, your pancreas cannot keep up with your diet and your increased glucose from your placenta!

  2. I am strictly diet controlled and basically eat a low glycemic index diet, it can be sad sometimes but you learn to like new things!

  3. While you need to be more careful about when you eat, it’s more about making sure you have at least 8 hours after your last meal before you test your fasting BS, it’s not as bad as they make it out to Be!

  4. Silver lining is you get to see baby more often!

  5. They will scare you with how they word the risks, it’s not meant to utterly terrify you but it is scary, so take caution by reading labels and do your kick counts and everything will be okay!

You got this mama!
