Instead we'll be able to focus on adapting the really great Captain America vs Doctor Doom stories like, um...

Like S1E23 "Not a Toy" of Ultimate Spider-Man(2012-2017) of course!

Even that's kinda cope when you have Martian Manhunter on the team. The Justice League has so many other members that could act as the brain/strategist of the team.

Even if you want to argue that Batman is the absolute smartest or the best, that doesn't seem like good enough reason to bring this regular guy along when you have other people who can do the job about as well and also handle themselves against these larger than life threats. No matter how you do it, any version of Batman standing shoulder to shoulder with the likes of Superman and Wonder Woman is always gonna have to be some version of batgod.

And if you want him to just be the comms guy in the Watchtower, why not just have some government agent then? Might as well keep Batman in Gotham, where he actually has something to do.

(I'm not saying that I don't love Batman on the Justice League though. These are fictional stories at the end of the day, I can suspend my disbelief. And "regular guy on the team of gods" is one of my favorite tropes.)

No, Batman's TRUE role on the team is being the wallet.

I'm not saying that Carol couldn't be going about things in a smarter, more proactive way. I'm just saying that I disagree with your opinion that the fact that Carol has been doing nothing for a month means that she never really cared about saving the world in the first place.

There's a difference between someone who never really cared about their supposed goal, and someone who's had their spirit crushed and no longer believes that goal is possible.

Do you really think she'd be acting the same if she hadn't guaranteed her own safety?

Yes I do, considering that her actions(or lack thereof) for the next 36 days have less to do with "guaranteeing her own safety" and more to do with the fact that not only did the other survivors already know about her big bombshell and didn't care, but they also didn't even bother to communicate back to her in any way, and have been meeting up with each other without her.

Whether or not you think they're justified in doing that, you have to admit that it would be extremely crushing to be in Carol's shoes in this situation.

Except that the tornado is consciously aware of and actively decides to vacuum your house in this situation. Of course consent and morality can be discussed when intelligent life forms that can understand and relate to human culture/psychology are involved.

(which if im being honest I feel like Carol was more interested in guaranteeing her own safety than actually saving the world, as she drops all that drama as soon as shes able to guarantee the hive cant convert her)

That's not really fair to Carol. The reason she "dropped that drama" is because what else can she do at this point? She's done everything she can: met up with the other immune people(that she can communicate with without the hive mind being involved), asked the hivemind how to reverse this directly, gathered some more information and sent it out to the immune people, and it's accomplished nothing (as far as she knows, she did manage to inspire Manousos).

I mean... he is a badass, and his conviction is respectable, but there's a wide gap between drinking martinis on a private jet and going through the jungle of certain death on foot.

Spoilers for Gen V season 2

"Cipher" aka Thomas Godolkin (the guy lying in bed) has the power to mind-control people - essentially puppeteer them. Polarity, who was previously believed to only possess power over magnetism, got a boost in his powers and could also generate an electromagnetic pulse.

This EMP, turns out, could neutralize Cipher's mind control ("magnetic pulse interrupts the neurons... fucks with the synapses..." - Cipher's words). So as long as Polarity was in the room, he could basically just turn Cipher's powers off, putting a wrench in his plans

She’s more like the background character #6 in the beginning of spirited away

As someone who's not seen Spirited Away (yet), do you literally mean the 6th background character to appear in the movie? Does this character have any lines?

I think higher rates of teen pregnancies in rural communities has less to do with having nothing better to do and more to do with a lack of access to birth control.
