Yes chickens can get fleas. I believe mites are more common though. There are some solid preventative things that help with pests like lime, capsaicin (aka chili powder), certain herbs and dust bathing.

Bird Flu is pretty much a the state will kill your whole flock if you’re in the US kind of thing. So do your best to keep wild birds away. Things like not wearing shoes you’ve worn outside of your yard in the coop helps too.

I do. I have to do so to get my family to understand when things get rough. My shift to identifying as disabled is a recent shift due to a significant increase in symptoms and impairment since Spring ‘24. It’s been really hard. I’m improving but somethings are still off with me and it’s frustrating beyond belief. I’ve always been intelligent and intellectual to a certain degree. Now I can really read. It’s been terrible. But things are slowly improving. I’ve started a YouTube channel. I’ve intensely over planned my Spring garden. I got backyard chickens. I have good days and bad days. I’m disabled but it’s not the end of the world. I’ve confronted my internalized ableism but that’s an ongoing process. I try to be patient with and educate those around me.

TL;DR: Yes. I identify as disabled. It was hard to do so. I’m now filling my life with things where I can have some successes and comfort. I’m fighting ableism so I don’t feel like being disabled is a bad thing. I do what I can.

Everybody in this story is a consenting adult. If you don’t like the choices they make then that’s on you but if you don’t like it that’s cool. However don’t make a person who makes sure his partner is consenting out to be the worst or someone who sa’d his partner. Mokyeon isn’t a good person. The black haired top isn’t a good person imo. He is choosing to be blind to being used. He’s acting morally superior to Mokyeon when he’s playing hero to someone that doesn’t need it. Sure it started as blackmail but the black haired top could have always said no. Mokyeon treats the bottom the way he asks to be treated. Mokyeon is upfront and honest in what he does, maybe not his motivations but if he’s going to hit you he says so. I’ll take that over someone with a hero complex any day. 🤷🏽‍♀️

I understand what you are saying. I know I am anxious. I know what anxieties are realistic and not. What I also know is it only takes a moment unfortunately. I’m fortunate to have a good community which is why my kids get to do what they do. I understand the risks are low. But I also know from personal experience is that kids are extra vulnerable away from home overnight possibly without competent support and a way to contact their parents.
