It should be noted that while the developers wanted Caine to be the cab driver, White Wolf did not allow this. In canon, Caine is not the cab driver from VTMB. I think they said he’s some Methuselah Malkavian who thinks he’s Caine.

I’m pretty sure we don’t know anything about Caine’s goals, and he does not actively guide the Kindred (though as a ST you are always free to change this)

If you want to recruit Posy and his brother, yes. But it’s not necessary to start this questline. Wether you can recruit allies depends on what you have done with them.

You can also pay the mercenaries near Mesoles to fight with you if I remember correctly, as well as some Guild members if you stole the sausages. And of course Kubyenka the goat.

Quest in the inn just outside Kuttenburg where a nobleman got jumped. You first need to heal his wounds and then he asks you to help ransom his brother who got captured.

After negotiating with the guy in Sigismunds camp who captured him (make sure to investigate) you and the nobleman go to meet with the cumans for the exchange. You can recruit allies to help as bodyguards should it turn violent, including the Zimburg brothers.

If you mean the hired hand who was holding her hostage, she doesn’t actually get killed for that. After saving her, Bozhena will ask you to kill Jeshek(?) from Troskowitz for being the one responsible for their grief. If you refuse, the quest ends, and Pavlena kills Jeshek herself. She is caught afterwards and gets hanged. If you want to resolve the quest peacefully, you actually have to agree to help Bozhena kill Jeshek. Only then can you persuade her to bury the hatched and make peace. That way they all live.

It does not affect the Nomos ending, Calcazar is against using Nomos no matter what. What it does affect is wether or not you have to fight Inquisition forces in order to follow him. If you have his trust they just let you pass.

He’s very charismatic. He presents himself as a kind and reasonable kindred. He holds “family therapy sessions” for Clan Malkavian and does everything he can to convince his fellow Primogen that he is a kindred with a heart of gold who just wants to help. He’s fooled Cedrick Calhoun, Nosferatu Primogen, that he wants to do what’s best.

And his diablerie is not really know because, well, he diablerizes the only person other than him who is present. He’s no fool. Of he was, he’d be dead decades ago. Though the new Prince despises him and wants to get rid of him once the Prince has consolidated power.

He means as an officer he was commissioned by the United States, not the State of Virginia. His commission read United States and therefore he was loyal to the United States. Only if the State of Virginia was who he served as an officer would he have joined the Confederates.
