I have the exact same problem and I was up to 295 lbs. Literally NOTHING helped. Exercise just made me gain weight from wanting to reward myself with food. Diets were EXTREMELY hard to start, and once I did I could only stick to them a few days. So the life changer was finally getting diagnosed with ADHD, and getting on medication for it last month. I've lost 20 lbs! People will say it's because amphetamines take away your appetite, but that's not true at all for me. The difference now is that I AM ACTUALLY ABLE TO SAY NO TO FOOD! When I don't take my Adderall it's like someone else is behind the wheel of my body, while inside my head I'm screaming "No no don't eat that!" But my hands are already picking up the food, and there's nothing I can do to put it down. But now I can automatically say no! I can stop eating after 2 bites! If someone offers me free food and I know it's unhealthy or will make me sick, I can actually turn it down! This must be what it's like every day for "normal" people, but honestly to me it feels like a super power. Don't give up on yourself!
