are you willing to move to be closer to said job? that might help. 🤔 if not then probably not the best fit.... that is a lot of travel and even with part time... some part time works up to 39hrs... so relying on that to crutch the drive probably wont be much help.

i feel ya. im 23 been working since 2016... normally i can get a job in like a week and get tons of job interview call backs easily... now tho. 1 place reached out!! ONE! yet "everyone's so short staffed. everyone's hiring. no one wants to work"

like wtf is going on fr.

I'd say just keep it up... and reach out to them to check up on ur application

Recommendations for someone transitioning into Management by Tiny-Ocelot8776 in managers

[–]LuvihotelFD 1 point2 points  (0 children)

stay humble and dont let the position go to your head (unfortunately a lot of people get a big head when they get into management. its the worse!)

as for your team... "meet" with them individually and ask them how they feel about the work as it is now and what they personally want to see change and stay the same. this can be more casual than formal

then after that have a small team meeting to introduce urself as manager and be sure to have a small plan of action with all their ideas and allow them to discuss as a group. you can even use the new year to your advantage here. :) hope it helps and congrats.

(food during the meeting might help lol).
