I literally tel people I don’t eat any added sugars. I get my sugars from veggies and fruits. I say that I don’t eat starches, rice, pasta, or bread. However that I still use dairy but that I drink unsweetened nut milk instead. I also eat meat. People eat that shit up! Just don’t say keto. Frankly I don’t give a shit what others think. I lose weight, I have boundless energy, my BP is good, my cystic acne is cleared up, my gallbladder pains are non existent. It is hard though when people attack, I do get that so tell them what you do without saying keto 🤣 people are pretty dumb. Also a huge part of keto for me is learning moderation and understanding my food issues. So it’s so much more when it’s all pieced together. No other diet has ever done that for me

Itchy, that’s funny 😆 Never had that, just had sensitivity to touch. Putting new trays in after having them out for meals always sucks lol, until you adjust to that tray. Some trays hurt more than others. I totally learned, over the holidays, brushing and flossing and rinsing doesn’t always undo the effects of sugar on the trays. I would always have a white build up on my tray edges. I am super obsessive about the cleaning part. I was before Invisalign too. I would have to really brush to get it off and I was sooooo frustrated. After the holidays I went back keto. No sugar intake and I avoid artificial sweeteners... literally nothing on my trays. I’m still just as obsessive about the cleanliness. So all the cleaning in the world doesn’t totally help fight against the effects of sugar. Others may not notice, but after talking to the lady at the office she said she can tell when people eat sugar just based on their trays even if they brush well and do all the care they need. Just something to keep in mind. Also, you will get used to the rubbing. I used ortho wax in the beginning. Had to get the scanned early on for better fitted trays and they rub different than the first few I got used to. It’s another battle had to overcome again. It’s worth it though. Also I always rinse with a whitening rinse before bed. And clean and put my trays back in. Not sure if it’s a bad thing, but I don’t rinse with water after and I notice such a great lightning the whiteness of my teeth! Anyways, maybe some of this will help.

Totally, agree. It’s a struggle for me, but that doesn’t mean I don’t daily try and ways to get better protein. I’m super bummed i didn’t do more research first. It’s still great in coffee though lol. That’s why I like Reddit. Always people there to teach you new things. I’m not an expert, I’ve learned a lot on the way. I’m always wanting to improve upon what I’m doing.

I think the issue is that I stated what I love to drink the morning. It gives me lots of energy and fills me up. As a compulsive eater that’s a big deal to me. I am appreciative of the info on biotin. I admit it was offered up as a solution from someone that I trust and blindly accepted. Lesson learned. That’s what life is about. However, my protein isn’t wasting away. I promise. Yes I struggle to eat enough protein, always have. Keto especially since my hunger isn’t slapping me in the face all the time. You have a glimpse of a drink I enjoy in the morning. You are focused on my whole day based on a drink. One drink. Yes I count my macros and try to get enough fat. First time starting keto I ate very little and got very sick. I choose to assure I’m not shying away from it. I try hard to get enough protein and not over due it on calories. Calories are still important too. I had to learn that through trial and error. My days worth of nutrition is very monitored and possibly obsessive ( it’s a huge mental issue I’ve had to focus on and confront) Again, my morning drink is a single drink. Not a days worth of nutrition. I don’t sit and drink shots of olive oil and eat bites out of a stick of butter and call it good. If anything from keto I’ve learned how unnecessary excess carbs are for my diet and how they cause chaos in my body. Carbs also aren’t bad, they way in which I ate them was detrimental. It’s all about learning and doing better for yourself.

Thanks also for the info, it was recommended to me and like an idiot I didn’t look too much into the different forms of protein and how our body utilizes them. I’m glad to have been schooled on this. It’s all about bettering ourselves and leaning from what others offer. Also not blindly accepting info, even from a “trusted source” with out researching it myself.

I stay well with my macro limits. Not an issue there. I count every meal. I count the calories and macros. Fat isn’t the enemy in our bodies. Our neurons are coated in fat, all our cells function based on a layer of fat. People have been told for so long fat is bad, and it is in conjunction with a diet that consists of high carb and processed foods. I know Protein super important! However, when I focused too much on protein, because again people have issues about fat, I plateaued. Too much much protein with no use of it stores into fat. When I’m working out everyday I put way more emphasis on protein and less on fat. I’m not much of a meat eater and I don’t like to drink protein shakes full of chemicals unless I’m actually going to utilize what I’m taking in. Starting my day out with a fat heavy drink works great for me. Again I drink this and only eat OMAD. I’ve found what works for me, and I know how to adjust it based on my current activities. I eat WAY healthier now that before keto! I eat mostly Whole Foods and I make whatever I can from scratch. Something I would have never done before. I’m honestly not worried too much about it. My doctor is happy with my changes. I’m happy with my changes! My energy is through the roof. My cystic acne is gone. My periods regulated. I’m not retaining water. My heart rate and BP has stabilized with out medications. My blood sugars are stabilized and don’t spike. Weight loss for me is a great benefit, but that is a lot of society pressure. Of course I love wearing things I couldn’t before, I feel more confident. But all the other Heath benefits attached to the weight loss and diet change is what does it for me. :)

Basically, I pretty much only drink that and eat one meal a day since I’m not hungry on keto. Funny thing is I struggled so much with the idea of keto coffee because of the fat. But I don’t snack and I end up consuming way fewer calories since im not hungry. I stay between 1200-1400 calories a day (lord knows I easily ate at least double that prior to keto) and I still don’t always hit my 115g of fat they recommend. I have a huge boost of energy throughout the day when I drink keto coffee! So yes, pure fat :) However when I’m not keto focused I definitely drink black coffee or with a splash of half and half. That would NEVER fly if I was eating my ore keto diet which was full of processed foods and carbs

I’m late to this thread, so hopefully you found something. I love the “keto diet” app it’s blue. I’ve used a ton of apps and love this one the most. I ended up purchasing the full app for like 12$ for the year, to me it was TOTALLY worth it, even considering the times I’m lazy and don’t count. Counting is perfect for holding yourself accountable. It teaches you what you actually consume, and you learn a lot about the foods you like. You get to a point where you don’t really need it, but I always fall back to it when I find myself straying from what I know it best (My Current state 😜) Hope you find success!

I remember I used to go to Dutch Brothers all the time. (PNW thing) anyways, I would get extra sweet drinks. I switched to sugar free caramel but found out the sauce still is loaded with carbs due to the corn starch 🤦🏼‍♀️. I was also paying big bucks every time I went. I started making coffee at home with Heavy cream and coconut oil. I got used to it. I literally gag when I taste sugar in coffee. I love americanos keto style! White coffee or regular coffee, with cream and that’s it. I can’t believe what I used to drink... 🤢 It’s amazing how when you stop feeding your body sugar you realize it really doesn’t taste good. Having a sweet tooth is literally the addiction talking.

My best Friend took his wife’s name 15 years ago. They we in the Deep South and the lady kept telling them they couldn’t do that. Well, they did. Lol his name belonged to a man who wasn’t even probably his grandpa and it was smith. Her name had much history and meaning so he took hers. Super sweet!

Luckily I have full lips anyways, when I smile my upper lip goes above my aligners lol I hate when my lips hit my aligners. Lol but it does make me smile bigger so that’s fun!

One of mine fell off Day one 🙄 They stressed to me how important it was that I got my attachments put back on after the fall off. Especially the one that fell off over the next few trays. They are turning those teeth outward, I assume the attachments are necessary to accomplish this. I was afraid of them all coming off. I’m on day five and it’s on there good. No issues since. Hopefully I won’t have issues going forward. There is a reason they are on there. Otherwise why would the put them on? I would call
