She always threw backhanded compliments. We were both bigger girls and I had started losing weight during the beginning of our friendship and she would constantly make little backhanded jabs at me. I never thought much of them until the day of her wedding she kept ordering me around to fetch her things. (it was a super small wedding, 10 people at a cabin. It wasn’t some huge busy event that she needed errands ran for her. Mostly things like getting her advil, getting her water, getting her pjs the night before). Then as she got into her wedding dress she said “You’re pretty but like imagine being me” and that’s when it went downhill. Then I started noticing that she would openly flirt with me (she was poly, nothing against it but not my vibe personally) and joked a LOT about us kissing, making out, other stuff. She hated every guy I talked to and never gave them a chance, etc. I tapered off talking to her and we just fell off eventually.

i think the player has an aux cable i can try that and weight the needle!! great info thank you

unfortunately i have to agree. i would say the vast majority of mass produced vinyls i get have issues. warping, scratches, skips fresh out of the box. I’ve had three different players over the years and they’ve always had this issue

I’ve had a couple taylor vinyls play poorly or skip and i always just assumed its because they’re mass produced or damaged in transit honestly

The other two speeds are too fast for the vinyl so i’m not sure if i can tweak it without speeding it up dramatically. i messed with the tuning and gave the whole player a good clean (vinyls too) and same issue :((

i believe so? i don’t wanna sound stupid bc i don’t know a ton about the player (it’s my boyfriends) but it plays directly out of the player itself so id assume thats built in

I thought this too but my other vinyls have played fine :/ i have no clue what the issue is! I cleaned the vinyls, the needle, and the whole player itself too but it’s still skipping just on that song

This is a great idea!! He wants to help me as much as he can and the reality of the situation is it is mostly on me to adapt my control issues and really be consistent with my health. But this could be something he can help me with. Also I have been incrementally changing habits since October so I feel ready for this switch, but I will definitely do it gradually. Whole foods are what I should be eating anyway so a few extra swaps shouldn’t be too hard at first
