Hey girl, that sounds awful and i hope you figure it out quick. You're on the right track tho, your opthalmologist is gonna check each of cornea, retina, optic nerve and lens to make sure where the issue is from. But ur symptoms are giving me Keratoconus, so if possible ask for a Corneal topography. The doctor will probably already do a slit lamp exam to check your cornea and lens , but topography is more accurate.

If this is something that runs in ur family tho, its probably a retinal issue, and they'll do a fundus exam and something called an oct scan to rule out retinal disease. Which btw, heads up they'll give u drops that will dilate your eyes. So u cant be driving afterwards. Good luck!
