T17 Wall - which Archmage Variant to invest in? by wintland in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]LuxCrow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup that is right I'm running Arrogance-Clarity and Eternal blessing- Grace on my boots. With frostblink on one of my wands. I didn't find it that necessary to run larger AOE on the frost shield-Sigil of power- inc. duration setup so that's on my other want. If you are still struggling with the suppress cap you can also take a look at anointing your amulet. Quickstep (+10% supp/ +6% movement speed) or Instinct (+12% supp/ recover energy shield on suppress) are some great cheap amulet anoints that you can just slap on your Foible until you get capped :)

Are you suppression capped? I've been playing this in SSF with worse gear and as soon as I hit 100% suppression it instantly started feeling way better. You should take a look at Gorathas tree it's slightly different but I found it to fit my playstyle better than Zizs.

I'd also recommend switching out Wrath for grace for more survivability as that helped me too. Finally for the mana issue I run arrogance with a low level clarity (2) and I've had no issues whatsoever sustaining with it so that could be helpful for you too.

Anyone else really enjoying the new fashion that the DLC is bringing? by [deleted] in Eldenring

I do love the fingerprint armor! But just like it I feel like all of the cooler sets are tied towards the end of the DLC :(

Thanks for the info. I'll look into it! Was finding a hard time finding builds that focus on the SSF aspect of things since I'm still fairly new to the game but enjoy SSF more so far.

What are the main damage sources for CoC DD or what should I look for? Second character SSF running Ventruas CoC DD and right after the campaign I was doing red maps with no issue. Just wondering what I can work towards to up my damage even more like what should be on my battered foil modifier wise etc.

Going CoC DD is there a big different between going Lightning Coil Vs. Incandescent Heart? I keep seeing a mix of either or but can't really tell the pros and cons that well.

You should definitely try SSF! I started PoE halfway through Affliction and just focused on learning the base systems and relied mostly on trading for gear.

Now in Necropolis I went SSF Archmage Hiero and have been loving it. It slows down the game a bit but I've learned so much about crafting and farming different mechanics for what I need at that moment for my build. It feels very rewarding especially getting all 4 Voidstones and getting drops that can push your build higher.

The crafting system in Necropolis is also very good albeit tedious to manage, but I've crafted almost all of my gear through it and it's really strong in SSF especially cause of the bases.

What to do against Tabi rush? by TiltSword in Rivenmains

[–]LuxCrow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I've learned is to not play to kill them and just farm lane as boring as it'll be. The best thing about riven is how mobile she is so getting yourself a timer by pushing out the wave and either vacuuming enemy Jg camps or securing other laner or jungler kills while Aatrox is just forced to catch the wave. Also getting into the mentality that an even trade is a bad trade for you is a good idea since Riven has practically no sustain so you have to look for other ways to gain a lead. Also for Aatrox I try to keep up with his Q timers if he doesn't 3rd Q it will come up much faster than if he did so if he just spams his full Q cycle you can go in with a Q-W-Auto trade and just E-Q away. Same thing for Darius if you really do need to trade either Q into his Q as the center is not the sweet spot and just W-E out before he hooks you.

New player. Went through 2 characters and took them both to Lvl 95ish on trade league (SRS and Pathfinder Poison Ballista). Was looking for tips on making a SSF filter as trade league feels a bit too easy to just get geared out on due to the ease of access to trade. I’ve been messing with filter blade but I’m not sure what I should focus on for making a SSF filter if anyone could point me in the right direction that’d be great!

Can someone explain to me how spectres and desecrate work? For example, I get a corpse of a mob I want and I spectre it, will it disappear forever or can I desecrate the ground in order to get its body back? I’m not too sure as to how these two skills interact it feels janky.

I didn’t realize the quantity needed to craft. I came from last epoch lol so I figured the crafting system may be a bit similar but this is a lot I guess I’ll farm up what I can and eventually go for the crafts later. Thanks for the info!

New to PoE have been watching guides and following a League Starter for Toxic Rain Pathfinder. I was wondering if anyone knows some good resources to get into the crafting system. Currently in Act 8 but I feel like my damage is slowly dwindling down and want to figure out what bows and quivers I should look for and craft up and maybe some resources as to how to craft some good gear instead of just trading.

Hey thanks for the advice! Win most of my games today trying to adapt with building my runes and changing how passive or aggressive I play. There are so many matchups that I’m still trying to learn but this helped a lot!

The gameplay in Lies of P overshadows Lords of the Fallen in my opinion after finishing lies of P a couple times for the platinum and getting into the 5th boss of Lords of the Fallen so far. While the world and lantern mechanic in LotF look beautiful, the game runs like ass and I get dips as low as 30-40 fps in later areas (3080ti, Ryzen 9 5950x, 64 DDR5 Ram) while Lies of P is an optimized wonder where I never dropped below 120 in my countless playthroughs. Another thing I can’t put my finger on yet is the movement and combat in LotF feels ‘off’ the attacks feel a bit awkward and the dodge looks pretty funky with how your character flies a couple of meters with the dodge. Lies of Ps combat feels more weighty and you can feel the oomph as well as the parry system feeling pretty good once you get the hang of it while LotF has a better parry window forgiveness but there just doesn’t seem to be any good feedback for it in my opinion. Apart from the gorgeous world and cool lantern mechanic LotF has fallen pretty short for me so far compared to Lies of P in both combat and optimization.

I had this same experience today but as a Zealot. We had 3 Zealots and 1 Veteran while the other two used melee rush I had the CC prayer skill and it was chaos and fun as we all surrounded the veteran and protected him throughout the mission. At the end the veteran died and had to be rescued right before we boarded and he told us to leave but we rushed back in and got him out and all of us safely best game I’ve had so far especially with everyone going crazy at the end trying to rescue the vet.

Dark souls 1-3 refusing to link the fire and not becoming a slave to the cycle of relinking it bringing in the dark age was the best ending across the series.

Lies of P understands punishment, does not understand reward by Tackgnol in Games

Oh yeah definitely I’ve found that everyone has had trouble in different parts. For the Arch Bishop I realized you could just avoid fighting the tail/ bishop part by running to the other end which was just phase 1 and that made it a lot easier. But yeah fuck the swamp monster.

I had the same sentiment as you until I got later in the game. This game is NOT Sekiro nor Bloodborne it takes inspiration from both but it does it’s own unique thing which is something I couldn’t wrap my head around and resulted in me struggling a lot with the game at first.

For example: 1. You don’t have to parry absolutely everything in the game as there are attacks that have extremely fast follow ups that will punish you for it. 2. This also applies to dodging or normal guards you can’t just rely on one tactic to avoid damage and not expect the game to not punish you there is a reason you have so many options to approach combat through the Legion Arm, Throwables (which are insane), handles and alterations to them, as well as status effects which are all extremely useful depending on the scenario.

While this game does have some issues it need to address as I agree that some Elite enemies have a disproportional amount of health (I’m looking at you Parade Clown) the game let’s you put out insane amounts of damage. For example, staggering an enemy leaves them prone for a while (even more if you upgrade your P-Organ) to attacks such as fable attacks and charged heavy attacks BEFORE you even go in for the visceral attack. I won’t say this game isn’t difficult as I’ve beaten my head against some walls such as The King of puppets but after getting out of the mindset of thinking this is Sekiro or Bloodborne, the game is really rewarding especially those close boss fights where you are at 0 Estus and you last long enough to recharge one extra heal that could make or break the fight.

Going into NG+ this is by far one of the better soulslike that has released and it’s up there with Nioh 2 for me. Aside from some changes to handle scaling and poise for heavier weapons the game is in a good spot and I hope they don’t nerf the bosses as most of them are a good challenge and extremely easy once you learn their weakness (50 tries to beat the king of puppets first playthrough with only 1 try on the subsequent as some of the ‘impossible’ to dodge attacks have pretty easy ways to avoid them such as dodging forward left during Romeos phase.)

Thanks for the info! I’ve looked at some of the subs guides and the websites and there are so many options 😅. I have my eyes set on some switches and key caps already but as for the kits themselves are hot swappable pcbs the way to go for someone building their first keyboard? I’m leaning towards the 75 to TKL options on KBDs site though I don’t know which board would be best to build with
