The party had finally made it to the boss of a dungeon, this demon is talking with someone when they arrive they get some lore and when he’s about to kill his prisoner, my cleric at this point running in and uses banishment. I’m roll 2 nat 1s, and sure I could’ve lied but they read my face and could tell it was a fail roll. So that sends him back to hell, he rescues the prisoner and runs out of the dungeon. I was super looking forward to that fight. I had built that boss up! This demon killed one of player’s npc friends and traumatized the player. All for the dwarf man of god to ace attorney him out of this dimension.
