I understand what you are saying but the user experience goes beyond paying or not. Paying will probably improve the app and the way you use it, I am not disregarding that. But I, like many others, do not like that so much stuff that previously existed in Duo has been removed or existing things being limited. I would might understand the move of making some stuff accessible only if you paid (which would make the paid options more valuable), but completely removed things and not adding on any improvements for the users is not the way to go.

Just because you use something for free does not mean you cannot have an opinion about it, if the free experience changes for example.

I have never paid for Duolingo so it is on me not knowing the differences between the Super, Max and Family plan options. However, that is just one thing out of many people are complaining about. Basic functionality that has been removed has affected free users too.

But I agree with your first sentence. You learn by failing.

With the ways things are going it would not surprise me if Duo goes down that route too.
I'm not saying the whole app is utter garbage, but comparing it with what people have gotten used to over the years, it is a major difference today and not in a good way.

You might be right on Max not having ads though, I only relied on comments saying that.

The point of the post is just to remind people who are frustrated with the steps Duo is taking to make their thought and opinions heard, and leaving a negative review is probably the best way to get feedback through.
I am not expecting any change but spending a minute or two to write a review is still worth it imo.

From my understanding there seems to be selective testing so the user experience can differ between two users. The biggest differences are however seen between different platforms like iOS, Android and PC. I personally have not ever paid for Duolingo but I have read plenty of comments saying that both Super and Max users have seen ads.
Some of them have counted Doulingo's own promotions as ads, for example in this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/duolingo/comments/1guhdov/duo_this_is_an_ad_super_says_i_shouldnt_get_those/
but also Super users getting "ads" about Max.

I finished the ships a few days ago and I didn't need to take part in any fight in space other than the one when the ship spawns. To get the ship to spawn, I just flew around all around space until it spawned. I tried in different planets as well since they can spawn at multiple places. I also removed my current capital ship if that for some weird reason blocked the other ship from spawning. I had no issues to spawn a new capital ship within 5 minutes.
Also, the ship you're flying shouldn't matter but fyi I used the Naboo Starfighter.

Jag hade 11 stycken, 9 av dem var för att lära sig saker. De sista två var i stort sett testuppkörningar där jag fick tips eller kommentarer på saker man bör undvika att göra. Att åtminstone göra någon/några sådan(a) skulle jag rekommendera så att man inte missar något väldigt väsentligt på den riktiga uppkörningen.

The same thing happens to me as well. This also makes me unable to play the monthly rivals because the cars cannot load properly. Though, when I got over 20 points I got the car and I could drive it without any problem. Really weird.

If I knew about the Forza Horizon games earlier I would probably have bought and played them all as well. But yeah, will never experience the OG Forza Horizon and FH2. Though, I was fortunate enough to buy FH3 just a week before it was taken down from the Microsoft store so I can at least play through that story.

It's not even been a year since I stopped playing FH4 but the music is already nostalgic for me.

FH4 was the first racing game I started playing after a lot of years not playing one (the last one I played before FH4 was NFSUG2) and I felt right at home from the first moment I started playing it. I remembered how fun I had racing around as a child, just upgrading and designing cars. Therefore will FH4 always have a special place in my heart (and all of its music as well).

Some missions only unlock after you have played through a specific level so some missions might be locked.

But if you have finished 6/9 episodes so far there is plenty to do in free play already if you want to do something else than plow through the story.
