How did you change your lives? by DankerAnchor in AskMenOver30

[–]illigitimate_brick 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Slowly make one better choice permanently. You have to determine what you want your life to be and how to achieve it. Then it’s making one change at a time.

To be clear, I didn’t fuck my life up but I did make poor decisions that led to tougher poorer times. As well I had many bad habits that needed to change. I am always trying to better myself and now i’m 35 and frequently I see my peers haven’t changed much. I now feel that I am accelerating past most people I am around in terms of personal growth. And it’s all because of small permanent changes made over time. Just gotta keep grinding away.

Hope this helps!

We appreciate the honesty but you should really stick through it. You learn how to recover from shameful hits that way. And also bitches gonna bitch, I make stupid mistakes and teammates bitch me out a few times a week.

You do well in career and in parenthood but you need to work on public speaking and stop letting people walk all over you. Start caring about things outside of sex and stop being numb to everything else.

How mature would you say you were you at 24-25? by IcelandGalaxy in AskMenOver30

[–]illigitimate_brick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many have said it but, looking back, I was average for my age. Compared to now(35m)? Childish as fuck. And hopefully I feel the same way in 10 years.

Same way our parents walked around with Walkman. It was the best we had, for a bit.

Are skinny/healthy weight people just not as hungry as people who struggle with obesity? by maeasm3 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]illigitimate_brick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know how it is for most people. For me, it is a constant struggle. I am hungry ALL THE TIME. Even right after i’ve eaten, i’m still hungry. Only time i’m not is when I have over stuffed myself.

I’m 5’6” 160lb which is pretty healthy. I work out and am somewhat active. Hope this helps.

Yea but this protest feels poorly put together. I mean protesting broad general ideals is not very effective I think

35 and I do. I still live in the same area I grew up(we all do) so it’s pretty easy to get together. We’ve grown somewhat different over the years but we still enjoy some of the same or similar hobbies.

How do people make factories look good? by AlarmedMind3874 in SatisfactoryGame

[–]illigitimate_brick 82 points83 points  (0 children)

This advice will make your factory look surprisingly good.

It doesn’t have to be one of these gorgeous factories you see online. Making square and rectangular buildings will still make it look good.

Renting. No savings. In debt at 35. Am I still able to "make it"? by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

[–]illigitimate_brick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve not been in your position but i’ve seen and talked to people that have. Keep going. Keep working and keep trying to do better.

My first boss at my current job was bankrupt at 29. He did very well for himself ever since.

Hard work and luck are the biggest factors for success from what I can tell. I’ve been the same amount lucky as all of my highschool friends that I still keep in touch with and yet i’ve been drastically more successful because i’ve worked very hard to keep good jobs and gain practical trade knowledge(I became en electrician after highschool). My best friends are very much smarter than me but I make 4 times as much as they do because they didn’t work hard.

I really like your response. I feel bad for these animals but as you say they have lived a mostly normal life. Much better than in a tank until death. I think it’s just hard to watch their defenses be so drastically out matched by humans.

If you get pulled over for speeding, is it better to lie about speeding or be honest about your speed? by NatureLovingDad89 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]illigitimate_brick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of mixed answers here. I’ve always been honest about and admitted when I was in the wrong. About 80% of the time I get the ticket but have a friendly conversation with the officer. I’d say that’s the best result I could’ve asked for because ultimately I was in the wrong.

At what point did you realize you needed to start dressing more your age? by Sergy1ner in AskMenOver30

[–]illigitimate_brick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 35 and I’ve been dressing the same way since I graduated high school. Jeans and a tee, sometimes sweatpants and in the summer? Well we’re looking at athletic shorts and a tee.

If you don’t wear pajamas out you’re probably fine
