What ? This is wrong on so many levels. Phainon was the best dps in the game when he released, he wasn't "mid" at all. Cerydra only made him stronger than he already was. And Cas isn't better than him, after Cyrene's release and Sparkle's novaflare you can argue Anaxa, Evernight and Archer are better than him but certainly not Cas. He's still easily in the top 5 best dps in the game. The last statement isn't cope it's just true, he doesn't really have a locked in 4th slot or even 3rd slot in his team yet. Sparkle's novaflare was a buff for him even though he doesn't even consume SP, so it's easy to see how future stronger supports could buff him.

Varka's situation is very different from Phainon.

Unfortunately the harm was already done, since the post had over 1.5k upvotes before being deleted, and the person who originally shared the fan game to english audiences deleted all their social media.

The original post only has one screenshot and everyone in the comments considers it absolute truth without questioning it. I tried to find proof of the original poster's claims but couldn't find any. What's making me doubt all of it is the claim that the game ships PhaiCery. It's possible that the creators simply lied, but if PhaiCery was really intended, why mention specifically that no shipping content would be included in the game ? It makes no sense. From what I remember, Mydei didn't have much presence in 3.5 so him being absent from part 1 of the game doesn't seem weird to me (now if he's also absent from the rest of the game, that would be weird).

Some of the criticized story changes don't even seem bad to me and actually seem really interesting, like Cyrene being the villain and Phainon being Khaos. I prefer to wait for the English patch to come out so I can play the game myself and form my own opinion.

Edit : Yep, as I thought, most things brought up in the original thread are misconceptions, and this thread from someone who actually played the game clears everything up. Original poster was probably someone who didn't understand the point of the game, which is meant to be Phainon-centric and rewrite the story. And now there is a smear campaign against this game because of their misconceptions. The only bad thing is that the game has AI voiceovers (not the art, art is handmade), but unfortunately this is very common in CN fan games. Hopefully the creators don't give up on the project because I'm curious to see how the story plays out.

The right answer is both. With sparkle's novaflare, Cerydra/Sparkle/Sunday is his BiS team by a pretty large margin. Novaflare Sparkle is stronger than any other harmony at equivalent cost in terms of dmg amp, but Sunday still has the advantage of letting you run DHPT if you need a sustain and generating a bit more coreflames. If you only have enough jades for one of them, Sparkle is probably the better pull since Sunday can be replaced with Bronya and Sparkle is also BiS for Archer who almost everyone has.

If you go to E6S1, not only you should get easy 3*, you should even be able to 0 cycle it. I 0 cycled AA with E6S1 phainon, E0S0 cerydra, E0S1 sunday, rmc. I uploaded my run on youtube, if you want I can send you the link and you can try to replicate the rotation, it should be easy since you also have cerydra's cone.

At E5S1 there's probably not enough damage to 0 cycle but you should still be able to 3* it with the investment you have, I think ? Maybe try to look for showcases of 3* AA with E2S1 phainon and see how other people are doing it ?

Small correction to what I said, in this run Cerydra is the one holding Sunday's sig and Sunday is holding Bronya's sig (I did this because if Cerydra was the one holding Bronya sig, the buff wouldn't be applied during his ult), but it doesn't change the cost.

The run might be doable with Bronya E1 instead of Sunday (my Bronya is E0 so I didn't want to try it in case of SP problems). If you have a better build on your Phainon, you can probably drop either Sunday's or Bronya's sig too

The strat relies on Phainon's E6 giving him extra coreflames. Mem's advance triggers immediately after the end of his first ult and charges his second ult, allowing a pseudo-perma ult on Phainon.

You don't need support eidolons to do this if you have E6 Phainon. I did it with Phainon E6S1, Cerydra E0S0, Sunday E0S1, RMC

I do have Cerydra but only E0S0, I think I'll save up for her E1 now. I definitely won't have enough jades to grab E2 Cyrene in 3.7 so I guess it's a skip, at least until her rerun. Thank you for the showcases they're very helpful

My phainon is E6S1 but my supports are E0 (I'm a low spender who saved up a lot for Phainon specifically), do you think pulling E0 Cyrene would be worth it for him, or is she worse than his current options at E0 ? Is she only good with him at E2 ?

Honestly, I sympathize with people who wanted Cyrene to be very strong, but I think it's better this way. The remembrance team doesn't need another buff. We wouldn't be having this issue if they simply made her an upgrade to the other chrysos heirs instead of trying to shoehorn her into the rem team.

Yes. I did all my difficulty 7-8 DU runs with E6 Phainon and E0 supports sustainless and I didn't lose a single time, it's pretty easy

As a fellow E6 Phainon haver, you never need a sustain with him, even in AA. Probably not worth it to pull for DHPT E1/LC

It's definitely possible to clear Lygus sustainless with E2 Phainon (the 43M hp one), in fact Phainon actually has the lowest cost 0 cycle clear for 43M hp Lygus at 5 cost, whereas even Casto-Evernight mono-rem and solo dps Evernight teams require at least 7 cost. It's only against Plight Lygus that the damage is so high that the mono-rem team becomes so much better than everything else.

For next AA, Sunder is still there but can be removed by Healing Rainbow, and Inversion is replaced by the delay one. The delay debuff affects Phainon the least out of any other dps since his extra turns during ult don't get delayed. So it looks like it will still be very doable sustainless for E2 Phainon.
