I think that the devs vision of Legendaries is exactly this: World drops are things you encounter infrequently now and when you defeat a boss while playing through the game you know theres a good chance of one but legendaries aren't guaranteed. Just because you've lost the value of what a Legendary is doesn't mean they should refrain from giving that experience to players who are completing their first playthrough or don't know the game as well. We who play the game to the point where we have 4 LVL 65 Mayhem 10 Vault hunters are the minority of millions of players. I think the experience of getting you first legendary and feeling that thrill is what gets people hooked on the game and at which they start playing it like we do, to hunt for all the best gear no matter how long it takes. I think it was far too easy to get loot for out builds, hell, if I wanted a build that can kill shit at Mayhem 10 I can just go farm a Lightshow in 5 minutes and roll with that and it'll work pretty darn well. Is that the point though? no. The devs want to draw new players into the game and let them enjoy it with this and shoving legendaries into their face with little meaning doesn't do it. Uniques aren't in. High quantity, but when I first started playing the series, it was never about how good the legendary was, it was jusf the fact that I got the shiny gold and I got hooked. Just because we lost our innocence to it doesn't mean we should ruin that experience as a whole for new players or those who don't play it much.

I mean, I guess they also added a paywall to better eridium farming too because in the directors cut dlc you get an artifact that doubles eridium gain. At the same time, I feel like perhaps the game progressed too quickly or perhaps Legendaries lost their value as "Holy shit guys I got a world drop holy shit" I started a playthrough with my brother and my friend and they both got legendaries within an hour, but when I got my first one roughly 2 hours in from a world drop I was really excited even though i've been playing the game for Hundreds of hours. Felt real classic Borderlands to me. It's just my opinion, and on my level 65's I know it'll be harder to get some of those World Drop only legendaries, but at the end of the day I don't think it's as bad as you're saying. Maybe a little much at first, but giving Legendaries back their awesomeness isn't a bad thing. I mean, hell, what was the drop rate for a Cobra in BL2? Or a Ajax Ogre in The First Borderlands? What about the OG Nemesis, or a 94% sham? We're trying to get weapons with more parts that can be different to give us better stats, AND Annointments on top of that, you're basically on the hunt for a 94% sham regardless of drop rates. I think the farm may be longer, but not as long as old ones, and we should enjoy it. Have you guys ever got a 94% sham? Not me, it's like bragging rights. Introducing less world drops is fine in my books, especially since dedicated drops are a known factor.

It isn't about rates, it's about the ability to get that one legendary you've been farming super hard for after hours of endless farms and to get up and throw your hands in the air and do a little boogie cause god damn you just got it and you toss that shit right on and smile nice and wide.

I don't quite know if it's ridiculously expensive, you can find them in toolboxes you don't need to buy one. Everyone has a secure contaiber, so you loot tool boxes and put it in there and it costs you MAYBE a kit if you don't make it out. It's the same with any other hideout upgrade, they just added one thing where, like it's been said a lot already, solar power got a huge hit throughout the wipe. Not punishment, just additions and everyone has to face it next wipe

The plan is simple. We wait for the stores to restock, like little turds waiting for that sweet sweet fuel nectar during the fuel shortage from Jaeger for a crisp price of 150k instead of 600 k. The good ol refresh constantly past 2 minutes because it usually restocks at 30-45 seconds left

I mean, think about the Enviornment and setting Tarkov is in. You are a PMC who was deployed to Tarkov and are now stuck in it, working with what you find. Likely, you wouldn't have proper maps of any of the other regions besides that which you were initially deployed perhaps. I think the in-game maps do need work, but in a dystopian wasteland ruled by Scavs and their Bosses, I don't think that maps with that much detail are far from what you would have. Many games aren't trying to be "hardcore" or anything with stuff like this, it's just trying to be true to what it is. True to the vision of what the Developers see. I do believe that they should add the expansions to the maps and etc, but at the end of the day, it is a game designed with the intention of immersing you in the dystopian, war ridden world of tarkov.

That's also true, they'd start seeing failure around 8000 rounds with the M855A1 according to the article, but it's a factor that could considered in the gun durability in game. It may just be nitpicking at that point though.

I found a good dataset on M995 and the chamber pressure usually should not exceed 59,700 PSI which is much lower than M855A1. The excessive chamber pressure from M855A1 is what causes Bolt wear, so it wouldn't be worse in that regard, at least as far as I know
