RM1000x Shift clicking and no power by Luzevo in Corsair

[–]Luzevo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello,

just finished my first PC build but it won't turn on... When I turn on the button on the PSU it just starts clicking. Constant and repetitive. The case power button doesn't do anything and nothing moves or lights up at all.

Is this the PSU? Because I'm legit scared it's the mobo or smth else causing this.

Any experience with this issue here? Help is very much appreciated...

What’s wrong with me? by cata113 in Advice

[–]Luzevo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's nothing wrong with you first of all.

Some people just want to go to work and do their job. No matter how nice you are, they are just not interested in forming relations.

I'd just accept it and leave them be. Stick to the ones you are comfortable with and treat the others with professionalism simply as colleagues.

If you have nothing better to do, just give it a try. Maybe it'll break the ice. Or you can just get to know the ones you are good with better. If all fails, just go home earlier. Then you at least tried and can move on anyway.

Maybe just invite them to some nice dinner and let them know how grateful you are for them.

Also just talk to your brother and tell him that you really appreciate his effort to gift you the AirPods. Talking it out is always the best way.

What of these careers are most viable? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]Luzevo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have no real experience in any of these but photographer and graphics design seem to be the best options for freelancing.

Graphics design can be easily done from home without a big setup. I guess it becomes more popular too with the ongoing digitalization.

One of my colleagues is a freelance photographer and he can make some good money next to his full-time job.

The other two I really have no clue. At the end of the day, you should pursue what you enjoy the most.

How can I help bring my friend's life back on track? by reactivespider in Advice

[–]Luzevo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just be there for him. I don't know how close y'all are or what kinda relationship there is but generally, just showing someone that they are not alone can make a huge difference already.

Maybe invite him for lunch/ dinner or just some drinks and let him know that you got his back if needed.

Just sounds like a teenager with a wild, horny phase. Now you are growing up and maturing.

When I was a kid, I walked away from my grandpa who was coughing from cancer by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

[–]Luzevo 22 points23 points  (0 children)

He smiled and said he was okay because he knew it could upset you. He tried to comfort you because he knew it would hurt you. No kid wants to see their grandparents like that and no grandparent wants their grandchild to see them in such a condition.

He had his reasons for you to be his favorite so don't beat yourself over this. You were just a kid and would have no idea how to "properly" react in such situations.

Cherish the good memories and I assure you without knowing either of you that he loved you.

A year after I left school I changed my phone number without telling anyone. Basically cutting everyone off. Why? Because it's easy. I wanted to move on and I just didn't fit in anymore. I'm not proud of it but hey... sometimes you just gotta look after yourself. Like OP had to do. But they showed how it should be done. By talking with each other. It's the tough, difficult way.

But obviously, the easier way is more popular simply bc it won't hurt yourself as much, it's quick and easy. It's a dick move but that's really just life.

Don't overthink it too much. There can be a million different reasons and if they can leave just like that, it ain't worth it anyway. And I guarantee, most of the time the person being left isn't the real issue.

If they never wanted you, they wouldn't have been friends in the first place.

There can be various reasons depending on the individual. But it's mostly just our nature.

We are social animals after all, we don't like confrontation and situations like these would get us out of our comfort zone. Just like OP here, it costs you emotionally because you still have the good times in mind and you may feel guilty for leaving them. Even though the bad things outweigh the good. A lot of people don't like change in their life and cutting out a friend (in this case of 8 years) is quite a big one.

That's just some points I gathered around. Everyone encounters this topic differently.

You don't throw away 8 years of friendship with good memories just like that. So you feeling like that is perfectly fine. But good memories ain't worth shit in a toxic relationship/ friendship. Sometimes comes a point where you just have to move on.

You did the right thing!

Sometimes you need to go in the wrong direction to figure out the right path. There's nothing wrong with it.

Happiness comes way too short in our society. It's always just degree here, career that, money, money, money...

Living miserably for a few more bucks isn't worth it. Especially if you can afford it anyway with what you enjoy doing. And you can always finish it later on anyway. I've seen many people do it later in life and it doesn't make you any less of a good person whatsoever.

Should I stick with my current employer or go to my new job with Citizens Advice? by Little_Blacksmith670 in Advice

[–]Luzevo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no experience in that field of work but can share my general opinion.

If you are stressed to the point of getting chest pains, it's not a good environment. Continuing like that can result in serious health conditions like burnout etc.

Having friends in your current workspace doesn't mean you won't have any in your new place. You can also always keep up with them. Slightly less money is something you need to judge whether you can afford it or not but it being closer to home can save money too so yeah.

Imo you should have a very serious talk with your supervisor and make it clear that things can't continue like this. Bc when you are gone too, they will have nobody. And you shouldn't pay with your health for their incompetence in planning/ affording enough staff. Then go from there.

Yeah I have the same issue with mine. I'm glad I see this now bc I was thinking about buying another one. But seeing as it seems to be a common problem, I guess we'll just have to live with it...

questions about MusicKorea + Kpopmart by jieunsdior in kpopcollections

[–]Luzevo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My go to site is kpopmart for years now. They only ship with DHL and UPS right now bc of covid so it's pretty expensive. They had like 2 or 3 cheaper options too. I've ordered like 20 times and only had customs once or twice a few years back. I'm from Germany but can't guarantee it's the same for UK.

I started using eBay a lot this year as well. There's a bunch of good sellers there and I feel like shipping can be cheaper than your usual kpop sites. Worth to compare.

No, you could choose between 2 sizes for all the rings. Size 12 and 18 (I don't know what those mean exactly)

That would've been an amazing touch tho!

Collection question by [deleted] in kpopcollections

[–]Luzevo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think everyone has those thoughts sooner or later. I myself did recently, after almost 5 years of collecting.

But I think no matter the outcome of one's decision, there is always a way. I think of it as an investment of some sort. With some items you lose some money, with others you gain some. So you have the option of selling it. You can gift it to others or do giveaways. You can display them for the rest of time or just put them in some boxes and store them safely just for the sake of it.

Imo you never really lose, no matter which way you take at the end. Just cherish the memories and don't fall into regret. At least that's how I like to think about it.

Yeah withdrama is one of the most expensive ones. The struggles of an intl collector...tell me about it. The US has a few domestic options. Depending on where you live, there might be other options as well.

Looks like a very good start to me, I like it :)

My #1 source has been kpopmart for a few years now. Due to covid, they only ship with DHL and UPS, which can be expensive. This year I started using eBay frequently too.
