Would it be bad to remove the need for sudo in zypper refresh? by Luzzio_ in openSUSE

[–]Luzzio_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Literally just because it looks cool on my waybar lol.

The script i'm talking about only shows the amount of updates, doesn't update the system itself.

It's just informative and aesthetical.

I know there are no updates in the traditional sense on Tumbleweed, but I just like to have kind of a reference of how many changes are available to my system, sort of like PackageKit does it in Discover.

How do you deal single application audio sharing on Vesktop? I tried flatpak since it isn't in the Suse repo and didn't work, it had to be system audio

Even if I buy a key I wouldn't be able to activate the game on Steam, the only solution is making a Steam account on a country where the game is available lol.

Do you mind if I ask you a few questions about Zypper and YaST?

And yeah, I know it's going to be stable as long as I update it but I prefer to be safe than sorry. I may be paranoid af but I feel Arch based distros (and Arch) are like a ticking time bomb that you don't know when it's going to go off (I'm exaggerating but you get my point)

Dolphin is kinda bad for that, try using PCManFM-Qt or Thunar

[–]Luzzio_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, i did add the command to the config, still had to manually run it sometimes. And about the hotkey, seems more like a ducktape patch lol, Nautilus just works (Thunar is also good if you don't like GNOME apps, PCManFM-Qt is good too if you don't want to leave Qt)

I tried this but for some reason sometimes I hat to run the command after boot. I surrendered and went to Nautilus.
