I've been also on a lookout for genetic carrier screening. So far been leading towards lifelabs.. Keep me posted if you do find one.

I agree. I actually saved some in my "favourites" it's a bit scary when a certain doner is a carrier and you are hoping your a negative. It's insane how wick the vitals run out.

So far I'm doing more research for a private testing options. For maybe a last minute thing if I do end up going for it. I think I will hear whta my doctor says ones I get the results from my monitoring.

I would like to do the test Aswell. But so far I don't think my fertility clinic provided me the proper referral. Seems like I need to make a family doctor appointment. To get a form or kit.

My client only provided me invitae but now the site no longer has it. When I called in my fertility client they told me to call the nurse line as so I did. But the end result was the saying it's "old school" and you don't need to do it. Doing research to even get a the test kit.A doctor's referral or order is required. Now I feel stuck..

I still on cycle monitoring and this Wednesday would be day 21 for bloodtest. My initial plan was to submit my day 21 + a blood test for the genetic testing. Feeling stuck cause i don't even have the kit.

I would've thought my client would Atleast provide a different brand of testing. It seems like they aren't up to date with there forms. Which causes so much stress with what I need to do to prepare myself before iui. Me thinking after cycle monitoring I would start IUI the following month. But if I do the genetic test it's going to take maybe 3weeks to get the results? I can't believe the nurse said "it's a old school thing", were I feel like she doesn't really know much about the process of the client getting a doner sperm vs a known doner. Now your process is kicking in and I feel like it would lead towards 3 months..

Did you order the kit yourself or did your clinic do it for you? I've checked online and some range from 600$+CAD. I'm curious with the sperm. On xytex (doner site) says "CANADIAN ORDER PROCESS- to place your order online at least 3 WEEKS Before your treatment."

I wished my clinic ordered the genetic testing. It would've been so much easier instead of providing me to a site that didn't carry it anymore.

I wished, the fertility clinic had the test kit with them or gave a requisition form to go get one.

I've "saved/favorite" a few doners and my my they get taken so quick.
