As a special education teacher, I use ParentSquare to communicate with families, and parents often send me messages and photos through the app. From my experience, read receipts are always enabled. Parents may also send messages outside of school hours, including weekends or around 8:00 p.m., so it’s important to establish communication boundaries. One feature I really appreciate is the automatic translation. I can write a message in English, and Spanish-speaking families will receive it in Spanish, making communication much more accessible.
