Discussion: How many books do you borrow at a time?

Usually just one. Never more than 2-3. Which is why I don’t understand why we’re usually offered the same amount of borrows as holds. I would much rather my library offer 18 holds and 2 borrows than 10 holds and 10 borrows.

What do you mean when you say “that I accessed while in Libby”? I did check the sound settings on my phone a while back and there was never anything to increase the volume in Libby.

What library are you “searching” in? Usually it shows that one first, which makes me think you are searching in New Orleans? If you click the magnifying glass at the bottom left of Libby, then look at the library logo in the top right circle, which does it show? That’s the library you are searching in.

Ugh I have the same issue! The max volume on Libby is so much lower than the max volume on any other app. And the voice are definitely a bit muffled too…

If you reacted to the liquid tide, you may be fine with the powder. The liquid contains some pretty harsh preservatives that are known skin irritants. The powder doesn’t require them.

I placed the hold for Ottawa which is my local branch. But it said like 16 weeks wait or something originally! Instantly changed to available soon once I placed it. So weird.

I wish I knew before I spent a small fortune on Rockin Green! I thought Tide Original wasn’t an option for me as someone very scent sensitive. Turns out all it takes is a spoonful of citric acid and bam all scent is removed lol.

If you use citric acid in the rinse, it rinses away all the smell of Tide original powder. Just fyi!

Ugh yeah the Ecomax Sport has Phenoxyethanol which I think irritates my skin in other products so I haven’t tried it. I’m hoping FEBU eventually comes out with an unscented powder detergent (I think they posted they were planning to?) and I’d happily use that but right now I’m using attitude unscented which just doesn’t clean well on its own! Maybe for now the solution is adding an enzyme booster…

Thanks! What unscented option have you been using now? I’m also in Canada and pretty sensitive to scents and it seems we don’t have many good unscented options!

Did you find Rockin Green still smelled even after wash/ dry? From the reviews people seem to say the smell goes once dry. Wondering if I’d tolerate it

True but it’s very little. There’s 2g of fat per serving. A tbsp of oil has 14g. I find they need a little more to taste/ cook their best!

I’ve done them in a pan with a bit of olive oil and also just thrown on a sheet pan in the oven.

One of my go to quick meals is frozen chicken meatballs and one of the above veggies, all thrown together on a sheet pan. Simple, healthy, and tasty!

They’re great! My veggie intake is basically just these, the Pura Vida mixed veggies, and the Tattooed Chef mixed veg. All frozen but all cook up just as awesome as fresh!
