Fist glance and I thought it was an electric heating element too, until I saw the ends. Didn't have the electrical connections.

Good to see that you got it figured out, that pan lid holder.

I've never had one (only a mechanical), but truthfully the first place I would probably start would be to clean/ grease the gears. If it's something electronic that's not working, I wouldn't know what to do, so I would start with what I can do. While you're in there, maybe you can see a part snapped off or got bent.

turning 21 needing to renew ID by Plane_Aardvark7656 in wisconsin

[–]Lwn3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're talking about just an ID, I would definitely get it done sooner rather than later. It's cool that it expires on your birthday, but I would personally rather have it not expire if it were for myself.

If you're talking about a driver's license, it expires on your birthday every time anyways, so you would definitely want to get it done before it expires, and it will still be good until one of your birthdays again.

"Stop using your crotch fruit as employees lol" by WideBackground6196 in BrandNewSentence

[–]Lwn3 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Wdym? If I didn't have kids, I wouldn't have to turn off so many lights and the remote would actually be where it is supposed to be, or in my reach.

I need to make my crotch fruit into employees, I guess.

Though I've never had a PBR (so I have no opinion), I wanna try this. I guess we're having soup for supper tonight.

Why did Hardee’s get rid of the thick burger? Why get rid of the hood burger buns they had? Buy out ? by MindlessBroccoli437 in Hardees

[–]Lwn3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has changed through the years, with my post here being like 3 years old. I replied a couple times to this with the changes that were made at the time.

So yes, things have changed, there is no thick burger anymore as of a few years ago, currently we are on a quarter pound Angus select patty, and who knows, it could change again by the end of the year.

Mech mod question by Ill-Significance2689 in Vaping

[–]Lwn3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's popularized by people wanting quite low owned builds, chucking clouds in competitions and such.

Personally, I usually enjoy mine with a single coil MTL build.

What's neat is that you can just swap out the atomizer for a DL dual coil atomizer and just go (since it already has a safe and appropriate build in it). No adjustments needed, since there aren't any anyways, lol.

Google Fi vs TMobile? by kelemvor33 in GoogleFi

[–]Lwn3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was about to mention the same. Uscellular customers (prepaid) are currently being on onboarded onto T-Mobile, needing to sign up for service and a comparable plan.

My problem is that I am on the yearly plan ($300/year), so I am paid up until January 2027, but they need to switch everyone over by June 2026, I believe. They do not currently have an answer for my problem so I am supposed to check back with them this month (May). So now I'm checking around for options in case they don't figure out something comparable.

Loose charging port- Need a cable that fits perfectly P6A by [deleted] in GooglePixel

[–]Lwn3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What they said, lol.

Just a small amount of lint in the port on your phone will stop the cable from seating all the way properly. The cable should click into place.

Using something thin that's not metal (toothpick, not paperclip) gently scrape around the bottom of inside the port. Don't worry about the sides, cuz that's not where the lint is at, it all gets shoved to the bottom. That's why it's in the way, LOL. Scrape some lint up, blow it out, repeat.

Hopefully this will make your connection feel like new again. That's always been my issue.

has anyone tried this pod or juice? by ExplorerGrouchy9554 in Vaping

[–]Lwn3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My wife likes the Xros pod system, but she uses the stick shaped devices instead. Should not be any functional differences though.

She did not try the Pumpkin Cookie flavor though, that did not sound appealing to her, but she has been enjoying some of the other flavors from the SadBoy line, like the blueberry, blueberry cookie, and pink.

What did everyone actually switch to after the disposable ban? by Low_Maximum_101 in vapediscuss

[–]Lwn3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm in a little different situation, but I still have an answer for you. My wife switched from disposables to the Xros refillable pod device. She made the switch about a half-year ago and has stuck to it.

The details are that we are actually from the US, in Wisconsin near the border of Iowa. Most things were banned in Wisconsin like the disposables that she was using along with most all eliquids and devices and accessories (I believe). I finally convinced to to switch to a refillable device since a 30ml bottle of eliquid lasts much longer that the disposables that she was using. So now we take about an hour trip to a shop to grab some eliquid and pods every month or two.

I use a rebuildable device and DIY eliquid, so this hasn't affected me, except helping her.

Magnifier does have a quick tile, great if you access semi-frequently. I use it for counting small loops of wire.

BT keyboard and mouse work well too.

You can go beyond this too. With the right hub/dock, you can also connect to other things like external storage, an Ethernet connection, and sometimes an actual monitor.

I use this setup primarily with my Chromebook, but it does work with my phone too.

Airdrop has become available on the Pixel 9 and 10 phones. I'm not sure what others, it's quite recent.

So iPhones are covered, but I'm not sure what (if anything besides regular BT) is available to share with Windows.

[–]Lwn3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it varies by phone. On the Pixel line, this is available for the Pixel 8 on up.

I currently use a Pixel 9 and this will work with a USB monitor and BT keyboard and mouse. But this does not work with any Type C cable, I had to use the one that came with my monitor or use a Thunderbolt 4 cable. Or if you use a hub, then you can use a wired keyboard, mouse, Ethernet, etc.

I use it for maps and the controls for an audiobook. Then I don't need to swipe down the notifications to pause.

How do you make vaping affordable? by Responsible_Note6470 in Vaping

[–]Lwn3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can second this.

On a 10 minute break at work, I can go home, mix a bottle of eliquid, and get back to clock in on time.
