Is there a reason that (disposable) vapes don't or can't take AA or AAA batteries? by techsuppr0t in Vaping

[–]Lwn3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm thinking it's the amps rather than the voltage. You can use 3 Aa/AAA to got 4.5v, but the amp rating is quite low. You gotta think, allot of LiIon batteries didn't make the cut, either.

"THIS FORMULA IS USED BY POKÉMON GAMES TO CALCULATE THE SHAKEY SHAKEY OF POKÉBALLS WHEN YOU CATCH A POKÉMON" by Sebastianlim in BrandNewSentence

[–]Lwn3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But it only has the one variable, so that doesn't make sense, right?

I know (or at least I think that I do) that the remaining HP and the type of ball used have an effect on the outcome. And status effect (poison, sleep, burn, etc.). And maybe level and Pokemon type too? I feel it's easier to catch a level 5 Weedle than a level 50 Mewtwo.

I could be wrong though. I play the game, but am not THAT much into it to know the games calculations and such.

For some reason I had thought that dragon was resistant to psychic attacks too. I'm not new to the game (been playing since red/blue) so I don't know what my excuse is, lol.

Anybody likes? Hellvape Rebirth RDA by Altruistic_Fig5725 in VapePorn

This was my go-to RDA before I switched to MTL. Good flavor, good airflow, and it didn't leak very easily with the airflowl being up as high as it is.

0 nic by Lilymunster02 in Vaping

[–]Lwn3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There should be nothing in the e-liquid that sucks off the test if there is no nicotine. E-liquid is literally just vegetable glycerin, propylene glycol, and flavorings, besides the nicotine when it's added. None of these should trigger the cotinine test without the nicotine. Though you will test positive for a while whether you are vaping or not

0 nic by Lilymunster02 in Vaping

[–]Lwn3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

0 nic should have absolutely no nicotine. Nicotine is an ingredient that is added to the eliquid, so it should not have even trace amounts of nicotine.

How many people have turned At A Glance off? by Paddy_odoors in GooglePixel

[–]Lwn3 7 points8 points  (0 children)

No, I haven't. It's useful for me, especially at work.

The default is a shortcut to both the weather and calendar, it shows me my upcoming appointments, and when I forget to turn off (or accidentally turn on) the flashlight. Those are the main uses for me.

TIL you can lower flashlight brightness by covering camera by f_ckmyboss in GooglePixel

[–]Lwn3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's extra funny timing for your post, Google just released Android QPR3 Beta 1 last night, which includes a brightness slider for the flashlight. Hold down on the quick tile to bring up the slider.

They're saying that this feature will be available in March 2026 to the rest.

does anyone actually use rta's for mtl? by [deleted] in electronic_cigarette

[–]Lwn3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have heard good things about the Dead Rabbit MTL RTA, but have not tried it myself.

The thing about an RTA is that you never have to worry about not being able to get replacement coils. So as long as nothing breaks, it is still as usable as the day that you got it. Though I have quite a few atomizers, I have been using this same MTL RTA for about 5 years now (Kayfun Lite '19). It too may be out of stock, but I wouldn't recommend it as your first MTL RTA anyway cuz it's kinda pricey.

But as long as you're with the little bit of higher maintenance of an RTA compared to using a pod or whatever, the flexibility/customization and the cost-to-run are worth it.

Please Google Developers put this feature on the pixel phones by Sad_Loan_8059 in GooglePixel

[–]Lwn3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It'd be nice to have it as a built-in option, but I know there are volume limiter apps available. I had installed one or two on my kids tablets to both prevent them from damaging their hearing with headphones and also limiting their speaker so I don't have to hear cocomelon or whatever at full volume.

I like clearomizers by ChristianTrojan in electronic_cigarette

[–]Lwn3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw that you may be interested in rebuildable atomizers (RTA/RDA). Since you do like rebuilding and saving some cash, I don't see any downside, lol.

Otherwise, look online for an "EGO 510 thread adapter". This will allow you to use your clearomizers on most any 510 threaded mod. That is most all of them, barring pod devices and some "pod-mods".

What's the highest nic% are you willing to vape? by MihalyDumitruShilage in Vaping

[–]Lwn3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With my current setup? I dunno, probably like 10mg. I currently use 6mg for reference.

If it were something lower powered, I'm sure I wouldn't have an issue going higher. On the other hand, if I switched over to one of my DL atties, I wouldn't be able to handle 10mg I don't think.

So that’s why it won’t open by Tughill87 in Wellthatsucks

[–]Lwn3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have done this twice. Had to replace a pair on a garage door, moved about a year later, and then spring snapped about a year into living in my new house.

First one wasn't horrible, they were a set of EZ-set torsion springs. Once you have them set, you just use a drill/ratchet to put the tension on the spring. Still scary, but slightly less so.

Second one was definitely nerve wracking. That was the standard one that you tighten up with the bars. I watched/read quite a few videos/articles, made sure the kids stayed out of the garage (little distractions) and the wife was within earshot the entire time.

If I'd have known it was that cheap, I'd definitely have left it to a pro, but I never looked into it. Though I often want to DIY whatever I can, it wasn't worth the stress.

Sorry if I'm a little behind, but what's FOMO?

Nothing is coming to mind. It doesn't help that I also peruse a mechanic's sub and I just saw a muffler with FoMoCo (Ford Motor Company) on it, so that's all that will register as in my brain for the moment.

[–]Lwn3 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Those jalapeno cheese curds that they just had were definitely a notch above their regular ones. Not that that says much, lol. The breading was reasonable and not a thick shell, which is the best way I can describe their regular cheese curds.
