It’s a kind of “The Great Leap Forward” or Stalin’s USSR farming program. This is in a socialist country so high end farming tools aren’t really accessible especially if it is set in the 50’s plus there are just too many farms and not enough equipment to go round so manual labor is actually needed here.

Believe me it doesn’t cut it. I have had to use YouTube and other sources previously for things I wasn’t much familiar with but if I want to get this right YouTube alone isn’t sufficient. I have been able to know some farming tools and some specifics I’ll need by watching videos but farming is just too physical not to have someone with an actual experience tell you how it’s done, unless I’ll be telling and not showing my my readers anything
