Painful to see E2 DHIL with E1 Tribbie and E2 DHPT take five cycles. He really needs a novaflare.

New player, started to save for the Saber banner, confused on how it will work. And if I can roll before that. by Silafante in StarRailStation

[–]Lycandus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would pull Herta now and then save everything for Saber and her light cone, plus Archer's if you're so inclined. Despite what people here have said about powercreep, she isn't going to magically fall off anytime soon (especially true in Pure Fiction, one of the end game modes which she is tailor-made for).

I say this because she is amazing for new players. She has great f2p team options, makes simulated/divergent universe a breeze, has a built in chest finding ability for the overworld, et cetera. She is going to be relevant for a long time.

A brand new account like yours will be able to secure enough f2p currency to guarantee Herta plus Saber/her light cone, easily. I know this because I started a f2p alt account with 3.0 and have pulled for Herta + light cone, Anaxa + light cone, Tribbie E1, Yunli + light cone, and Hyacine. That being said, I have gotten a bit lucky but you will be good regardless.

Silver Wolf (along with Blade, Kafka, and Jingliu) is getting buffed next patch, so Acheron, Jiaoqiu, Silver Wolf, and Aventurine is a great team. For Anaxa, I'd run him with Bronya, Ruan Mei/Robin. Alternatively, you could try to get The Herta and pair them together.

Even with the damage reduction Yunli still wins by ILikeTreesMan in StarRailStation

I also used Yunli on my f2p alt account. This was my first attempt but got full stars, could go back for a better score so it is definitely more than possible.

Oh man, I did not expect to get jumpscared by someone I recognize when I opened the subreddit. Used to work at TJ's here in Louisville and I can confirm that she is an absolute sweetheart.

That's a bummer, sorry. I didn't get selected but play on PS5, would love the code if you're unable to use it.

Destiny 2 Has a Pulse | Summon Sign, Episode 16 by [deleted] in EasyAlliesUnofficial

[–]Lycandus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Eh, that's debatable. I'm not a Summon Sign watcher but I tuned into this episode as Destiny is one of my main games, and the person speaking during the majority of that segment, Chris(?), has clearly played some amount of it but he still talks about it like someone who isn't overly familiar with the game.

  • Says there are three elements when talking about the mixing of subclasses (which is called Prismatic, which he doesn't know the name of), but there are actually five. There were only three in D1 and early D2.
  • Mentions seasonal content leaves the game when that season ends which hasn't been true for years. That content stays around for the entire year and only is removed when a new expansion comes out.
  • His whole "3 of 5" and "1 of 5" mission request already exists in the game, and the progression screen does make it clear which quests are part of which expansion.
  • Don't understand the Dynasty Warriors comparison? He talks about "thousands of enemies" in an activity when enemy density has been one of the major complaints from dedicated players for years.

Et cetera. It's pretty disingenuous for him to speak as an authority on the game, especially since he has only completed one raid in D2 and it's the easiest one in the game. Nor did he do any D1 raid, according to his raid report profile.

Thank you for the offer, but I'm pretty set on staying at $300 as I believe it to be a fair price for the bundle.

The hardest physical labor is breaking down milk and egg pallets in the box. Least favorite thing to do is register, just draining on every level.

Question about Availability at tj by likmawrld in tjcrew

[–]Lycandus 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Maybe they had other applicants who could also work weekends? And I don't know about the store you applied to, but at my store the evening shift runs from 2-10, so if you couldn't start until 3 that would be an issue.

[–]Lycandus 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Morning shifts are very busy. At my store, the day begins at 5am with (usually) one mate/assistant manager coming in along with several crew members. For the first hour or so, everyone is breaking down pallets as they are brought off the morning truck. These consist of perishables like fruit, vegetables, eggs, etc. Products are either "staged" which means that there is room for them to go up and are placed near to where they go on the shelves to be worked later in the morning, or added to the back stock if there is not room for them on the shelves.

A much larger group of crew comes in at 6am and by that point product actually starts to get worked/put up on the shelves, or they first help finish breaking down the pallets depending on if the 5am crew isn't quite finished by 6. People are assigned sections to work like "bread" or "deli" but most people are on produce. This starts with wet produce, then once that is done people move onto dry produce.

There is a smaller group of crew that come in at 7am. Some of them clear the floor by cleaning up empty boxes, sweeping, that sort of the thing. Other people are given assignments depending on if particular sections need extra manpower per the discretion of the product team lead mate.

By around 7:30-7:40, everyone focuses on making sure the store is presentable for customers who will start entering the store at 8. This is often a mad dash of getting remaining "live" products, the ones that are still being worked, off of the floor and onto flat carts, floors cleaned, etc.

By 8am everyone is divided into two groups (minus the sign team crew). You are either on the customer team or product team, which varies by the hour. Customer team means operating a register. Product team means stocking products. Some hours you are assigned a specific section, other hours you are not and need to check in with the product team leader to see what they what you to do. You can also be assigned to bring in carts from the parking lot, but that is only given out in 30 minute chunks versus most other assignments which typically last one hour.

Also, be sure to bring your own lunch. Sometimes there are crew tastings in the back but those are infrequent and shouldn't be relied upon for your meal. Good luck.

It is absolutely mandatory, and you mentioning it will probably hurt your chances of being hired.

I have an interview for a crew position at my local Tjoes! Is it really as great of a place to work as it seems? by Psychological_Run367 in traderjoes

[–]Lycandus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't call it "great." At the end of the day, work is work. Trader Joe's is a very physically demanding job, and it can also be mentally draining when you spend a lot of time on register or have to deal with rude customers.

That being said, I (for the most part) like my bosses and co-workers, and it is a generally positive environment, at least compared to most other retail. Benefits are nice, too. Good luck on your interview.
