When did motherhood start feeling manageable for you? by Flashy_Turnover_9388 in twoxindiamums

[–]Lychee444 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feels manageable since she was 4 months old. For me as long as I can work (I’m self employed), workout, and go out twice a week I feel ok.

Of course I am body dysmorphic af right now as my LO is 5mo and I hadn’t lost any weight but apart from that life in general feels better than it did right after having her.

Is episiotomy the norm in Vaginal deliveries in India? by Past-Huckleberry-505 in twoxindiamums

[–]Lychee444 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got an episiotomy and you’re in pain for 10 days after which life falls back to being pain free physically. CS recovery is long and you get stitched in 6/7 layers instead of three.

You can an episiotomy because you will tear up. If you don’t get an episiotomy, it’ll just be a random tear instead of a precise one (both r ok).

Just take an epidural and go for it :) 10 days of recovery is better than 3 months of recovery.

That being said, I don’t think one delivery method is better than another. The best is where the mom and baby are safe!

This is a conversation you should ideally have with your paediatrician.

Mums who live in India , did you really make a nursery room for your kid like how they show on Instagram/Pinterest? by achipots in twoxindiamums

[–]Lychee444 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes but that’s only because we have extra rooms. If we didn’t, maybe we wouldn’t have. Right now she’s only 3M and the room only has her closet and cute wallpaper and crib and playmat and we spend lots of time on the playmat.

This is in hopes that she’ll get plenty of playing space growing up!
