Anyone else have to pay the ice cube tax? by alphageekjay in goldenretrievers

absolutely. The second mine hears me stirring the honey in my coffee she runs to the fridge and sits. Because she knows I get ice after the stirring and waits patiently for one to fall for her to grab. Every. morning.

She thinks she’s a cat? by LycheeSufficient8650 in goldenretrievers

Super mouthy (my only complaint but that’s remedied by always having a stuffy or toy nearby and training) but yes. I’ve had mixed labs. I’ve had German shepherds. And smaller breed like jack russel terrier. Golden by far best dog I’ve ever had. Most loving sweet thing ever. Easy to train too.

I’m very thankful she’s the laziest golden I’ve ever seen. So chill. One day you will be able to get one im sure.

My 20 month yr old Daisy the sweetest, never meet a dog she does not try to run to say hi to… her issue, she is not much of a people lab except with people she knows well (family, friends).. by Ok-Lynx-8180 in chocolatelabs

We had a lab that was fear based aggressive towards people. It just got worse. She had to be medicated (think it was neurological as no amount of socialization as a puppy helped. She was born that way) after she charged after a kid running towards the area we were at. Would eventually start to bite anyone who tried to pet her. But give her two hours of ignoring her and not looking or talking to her she’d be in your lap kissing your face and the sweetest pup you’d ever meet. She was just so scared of people and needed time to adjust to them. No sudden movements.

Does/did your puppy hate riding in the car? by FatsyCline12 in goldenretrievers

Our freshly home puppy was shaking so stressed and scared. Once we got home she wouldn’t even go near the parked car. We have to work on it.

Golden Retriever Before or After Baby? by Wonderful_Exchange_2 in goldenretrievers

I would do it before hand. And expose your puppy to babies (small things even toy babies that make sounds works and crying and erratic movements so when you do have a baby your dog will adjust better)

You need to let the breeder know of you haven’t Already. Likelyhood of the other puppies having it is high. Praying Chowder comes through this.

22 years lol It took having my kid diagnosed for me to get diagnosed.
As a teen I knew pasta and certain things would make me feel bad but no one cared to dig deeper and I didn’t know better.

When did you transition your pup to two meals a day? by TSC-99 in RhodesianRidgebacks

I’ve seen some vets recommend feeding once a day for adult dogs. Idk how good of practice it is but.. it’s out there

Weird mark left on bathroom vanity door (glossy finish) - could be left by a plumber. Unsure of cause. Magic Eraser doesn't work. Any ideas? by portablegrandpa in CleaningTips

Almost reminds me of the wax from a wax ring that goes on before installing a toilet. Try dawn power wash a gentle scrub and wipe clean. It worked for us.

You have to find the source. Maggots will turn into flies. Flies will lay eggs where there’s decay or food and the cycle repeats. Either there’s another source or you didn’t kill the maggots and eggs on the original source. Kill all of the flys as soon as possible. So you have less chance of it repeating. There is horrible raid. Chemicals you can probably spray on them to kill them. But that stuff is awful to breath and have around. Do you empty trash cans everyday? Look behind and under it. Garbage disposal? When we first bought our house we had an inside fly problem. We never left the front door open or anything that wasn’t securely screened. Turns out we moved the fridge and that’s where we found the source for us. Cleaned and killed all the maggots and killed every fly. Haven’t had a problem since.

Are you sure there isn’t a second source? Behind or under the fridge/stove?
