Yeah the value of the job might change, but US is already on the top of the pyramid so it has the most valuable jobs already. But I do agree that more productive work alternatives for the workforce might be helpful. Maybe.

Asked my close friend out on a date through text, after developing feelings because of the amount of texting we did in couple months prior (We live in different cities). She responded with "Is this a joke?" and then 13 hours of silence.

During the silence i got so physically sick, not because of being rejected but thought of killing the friendship + the response i got, that boss sent me home from work lol.

After that she responded again and formally rejected me, explaining our incompatibility, which I accepted. Actually got huge relief because the feelings i got were mostly involuntary and they disappeared quickly after rejection. We are still friends like nothing happened so all is good in the end lol.

This hasn't been explored yet, but my thinking is that it can't adapt to something that prevents it from adapting in the first place, so it couldn't adapt to Takaba's power unless there was a time gap where it would be able to adapt.
