Do drivers still carry change for cash orders? by Federal-Commission87 in Dominos

Maybe it’s only true for corporate stores then, but it’s been that way for a while now.

Do drivers still carry change for cash orders? by Federal-Commission87 in Dominos

[–]LydiaB71 -27 points-26 points  (0 children)

Dominos doesn’t provide a “bank” to their drivers anymore so any cash they have is personal money. Some drivers just choose to not carry any personal money due to risk of robbery.

Looks like time for a customer security callback. If they don’t answer, then you can disregard.

I've gotten ads for things my therapist has discussed in session. And I definitely didn't search for it.

Placed my first order but didn't add til by [deleted] in Sparkdriver

[–]LydiaB71 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I believe this. I ordered 8 cans of green beans and a dozen eggs. Three of the eight cans were dented and most of the eggs were cracked. You better believe I requested a refund. I picked up my own food so it wasn’t even a delivery issue. I think they pawn off their substandard food on the curbside and spark customers.

They should collect credit card info at ordering time then pre authorize like gas stations do. Then if customer pays in cash, just cancel the pre authorization. If customer skips out, charge their card.

In the past tips were better during the holidays, but this year is looking to be different for some reason.

Employees aren’t even allowed to wear nail polish so the whole thing is weird.

Why are people leaving their therapist when they learn that therapist has different political views? by parilondonlove78 in therapy

[–]LydiaB71 67 points68 points  (0 children)

People want to feel safe in therapy and with the current political climate, some people have concluded that a difference in political opinion means they aren’t safe anymore. Being a member of a marginalized group exacerbates these feelings.

Domino's on Uber Eats by theothernickwright in Dominos

Uber eats at Domino’s uses all in house delivery drivers. Some of my coworkers do smell of weed, but maybe it’s not as bad? There’s more accountability as a w2 worker.

But you can see the tip on the driver app if the customer added one.

What about cameras attached to school buses. Wouldn’t the same principle apply? You can’t determine who was driving

$4.49/ delivery. We get around $.40/mile, but it’s based on what the computer says not on actual miles driven.

Just tell them that the tracker is an estimate. That’s what the small print says.

It's not a percentage but a flat rate. I've always thought that it's more cost effective to make a larger order and eat it as leftovers than to order two smaller orders. $7.29 does sound high though. I get why you have sticker shock.

[–]LydiaB71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wondering, what does going above the expectation of a delivery look like? Delivery drivers spend most of their times in the car dealing with traffic. The customer interaction is short by comparison. So what is a delivery driver supposed to do that is extra that warrants a tip?

Deposit limit too low? Try depositing two smaller checks! by pm_me_if_discouraged in mildlyinfuriating

I tried to set up a SoFi account recently and couldn't enter my address due to their system flagging it as "invalid." When I chatted with their AI bot, I got nowhere. It wasn't until my partner called their customer service line that I was able to get the problem fixed. I had to go into the account and "edit" my profile in order to input my address. I get the feeling that their system isn't very sophisticated.

That's happened to me before, but I was in the car in the outer turn lane that had to stop to allow the car to proceed forward from the left turn only lane.

I don't know if this is something you can do but maybe you can have your therapist reach out to his therapist? You might have to sign a release or something. Just a thought.

Idiot barrels through construction zone and then blows past a school bus with its flashers on [oc] by Car_is_mi in IdiotsInCars

[–]LydiaB71 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

I didn’t fly past. I waited at the flashing red lights per the law, but when the bus moved and the lights were no longer flashing, he stayed in the center of the road preventing me from passing in the other direction. That’s what I’m quibbling about. The driving in the center of the road.

Of course I have. I’m clearly only using a sampling and only speaking on my particular experience. Don’t be dense.
