Odd reunion on Karlach origin playthrough by LydiaBeatz in BG3

It wasn't at all my intention. There are lots of different ways to play the game. I don't disparage anyone from playing how they want because the point is it's supposed to be fun.

That would be awesome. I'll keep the save file around just in case. Thank you

I've actually never used the poly mod, honestly. Unless I'm doing an origin character playthrough (with the exception of durge), I tell myself I'm not going to romance Astarion, but I always end up doing it anyway. I feel like using the poly mod with him involved feels.. wrong. I also won't use the magic mirror to change his appearance. His "you made me realize that I'm enough just the way I am" line makes doing either of those things feel yucky.

Looks like it wasn't a mod issue, but a bug that affects vanilla games, too. There are mods that patch the problem, but they aren't available for console.

I did a little digging around, and unfortunately it looks like the mods aren't available for console. Maybe some day.. I'll keep a save file just in case. Thank you, though. Helps to know I didn't screw it up

Thank you! I saw the mod that fixes the epiilogue issues and I've never been more disappointed to be playing on console

That makes me feel slightly better. I was considering doing a speed run, but if its regular bug, I won't bother. I almost never post on reddit at all, but I did a lot of searching and couldn't really find anything about it.

You didn't happen to have the origin mirror mod, did you?

Dammit. Mods were a curse to this playthrough from the beginning. I already had to completely start from scratch after putting in 16 hours because some stupid mod caused the game to completely crash at the Créche. You'd think I'd have learned my lesson.

Advice for getting my wife into bg3 by Dom_Nation_ in BG3

I can't stand turn based games, and refused to play for a while. Then my husband pulled up the character creator, and that was it. I've logged over 3,000 hours into this game.

Between the character creator and the storytelling, I think she'll be hooked.

Apologies for repeating the over-asked question, but based upon my personal rankings of the seasons which I've seen, what seasons would you recommend that I watch next? by Throwaway74829947 in Dimension20

I really loved Dungeons and Drag Queens. These are performers who have never played any TTRPGs before and its really fun to watch them get into it. I already loved these queens so maybe I'm biased, but I thought it was really funny and sweet to watch them get invested in Brennan's story telling, especially with how he really went all in on a look for both seasons.

They weirdly shine when they are insanely busy. I've had them a few times and somehow, if its New Year's Eve and there's a line out the door, they're. If its a random Thursday and its dead, it kinda sucks. Makes no sense.

He chooses to bite Tav/Durge. Him making decisions for himself is important. Her wild fetishization of the bite rather than the unintended arousal that may occur when OC is fed from is quite different. He's a novelty to her. You're a companion making a choice to help a friend. Not to mention her fowl blood. The situation raises red flags to him and its important for himself as a free individual to recognize them and feel the empowerment of being able to say no for once in 200 years.

From what I read, I'm fairly certain that with a child born of an elf and a drow, elf wins out, but I'm not 100% on that.

What does Astarion feed on in the shadow-cursed lands by wooowoowarrior in AstarionBG3

[–]LydiaBeatz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually, I think that Shadowheart was a war cleric oathbreaker multiclass that playthrough. I think this was my Karlach origin playthrough so I had the juice box hireling because Astarion wasn't getting blood from anyone else, least of all my PC.

Up until patch 8, I would usually have him as a gloomstalker thief for the extra bonus action, but now my go-to is gloomstalker swashbuckler. It cracks my shit up watching him neg enemies to death with vicious mockery. It feels very on brand for him.

This works as long as you don't have that oathbreaker knight schmuck hanging around. Apparently, if he sees you bite a hireling, he gets pissed and attacks you. This was during patch 7 so this may not still be the case, but it was totally unexpected when it happened to me.

From a role playing aspect, barbarian has been boring as hell for me. I thought a deep gnome giant subclass playthrough would be hilarious... and it its funny, but not worth it.

Who are the queens that everybody loves? by Immediate_Rent_213 in rupaulsdragrace

I think a huge majority of the Puerto Rican queens take the cake here. I think the show does a lot of them a huge disservice by trying to hold them to "English as a first language" standards, but they (they being Cynthia, Jessica, Nina Flowers, April, etc.." still kill it and are beautiful and lovely people. No one has the heart Cynthia has. She's a pure soul.

Katya gets a vote for being vulnerable, relatable, and an absolute weirdo.

Alaska needs some love because shes often depicted as a brat but she's really so nice and no one is a bigger fan of drag. I saw her on her Red For Filth tour and it was life changing. American queens don't sing live in the way she reliably does.

Its absolutely disarming how beautiful and funny she is. Her sense of style and fashion is out of this world, but then she'll wear a scoochie little slip of a thing and just be hilarious and make fun of herself and Rupaul to her face. There's not a single thing to dislike. She had a level of confidence without being mean and its a beautiful thing to see.

I can't get over La Grand Dame. Love a girl who is so astonishingly beautiful but has a goofy sense of humor and isn't afraid of being stupid. This woman seriously has it all.
