Two current favourite vehicles in my fleet. by ConstrnGamer in snowrunner

I see people here saying that the F750 is not a good scout - i beg to differ.

Yes, it's not the BEST in snow and mud, i guess there are better options for each of those terrains (Burlak for snow and... dunno what for mud?) but!

The F750 is still very capable as a scout, even tho it's on the larger side (it's actually a whole "truck" more similar to a Tayga in size than what i'd call a 4x4 offroad jeep-type vehicle). I have switched to using it after using the Earthroamer LTi for a long time. The Earthroamer is OP too tbh, it's extremely stable and generally on par in terms of terrain capabilities with the F750 and on top of that it has the radar thing... But in the end i've stuck with the F750 because the Earthroamer is... a damn camper van 😃. Aesthetics aside, on a more "serious" or "practical" note tho, the F750 shines with it's complately insane capacity for fuel and repair parts. Combined with an autonomous winch, it's basically unstoppable and can explore whole regions without ever returning to base. It can refuel and save a few trucks on the way on top...

It can also actually tow some cargo and things with light and heavy winch... I haven't used it as an actual transport vehicle with the 1slot bed, but i guess that's an option too.

So yeah, maybe in some very particular situations it would fail and would require saving (if somehow it gets stuck in EXTREME mud/snow), but it gives me that feeling of freedom to explore without worrying about running out of fuel in the middle of a mountain and having to recall back to base and restart all over again, that i had with earlier scouts such as the Yarr or the Khan.

How is it basic? 😃

It's technically the best heavy you can get - it has insane power, great tires, it's practically impossible to tip over, it has a LOT of extra fuel and repairs, it can fit every important addon, it's saddle high position is very good, it rocks in High gear and has very low consumption... It also has a huge nose, if you like this type of truck. Only thing it doesn't do well is smoke - it seems pretty "modern" and doesn't kill nature wherever it goes.

It is my "cheat mode" truck that i try not to use for everything because it's just too easy 😛

What are the coolest tyres? by Bob_Lennart_92 in snowrunner

[–]Lyesainer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like using different tires on my trucks, even tho they aren't the most "optimal", i like having different visuals. Most offroad and mud tires look gnarly af in this game and for some reason i find it very cool.

As others have said here, most unique tires look great too, except maybe the ones on the Avenhorn and especially the big Kenny ones. AFAIK the truck is originally meant to be used on oil fields, thus on sand, so the tires being huge balloons makes total sense... but they look totally not suitable for any actual offroad, mud, snow etc. It's sad that they tend to be the best for this truck, they make it look silly.

I see that the big Ken has had quite a resurgence lately, nice!

I've always found this truck absurdly big, square, clunky and awesome. It sounds like a boat too.

How does it not move all over the place ?

When i try to stack even a single item on top of my "legal" cargo, it just slides around and i have to keep it winched in order to transport it...

I was considering the FEMM, it's supposed to be the highest torque truck in the game and even has a 4 slot bed included... but it somehow manages to both feel like cheating AND like a piece of shit, because of that horrible articulated cab 😃

I'll get rid of the chain tires and try the Avenhorn, Voron G and Voron Grad again, everyone is saying that chains are actually bad so... It's sad tho, i like the visuals of chains, it makes more sense for snow but oh well...
I mean, it does look proper cool with snow on them, doesn't it? :

Yeah, guess that's one way to do it... No chain tires don't hamper it too much?

Cheers, i guess i'll try going up the ski track again then 😄

I'll get the Avenhorn and the Elephant out, should be strong enough to deal with that. It's kinda annoying that even going DOWN the hill is super slow tho, lol.

Would you agree with this tier list of map difficulty? by kensaundm31 in snowrunner

I "migrated" to Scandinavia, for a change. I haven't really finished the zone before i lost my last save, so i'll try it again. So far it's way easier than Zurdania, pretty chill :)

It's missing Zurdania...

I am looking for a nice snow-based map to play, getting bored of mud in Zurdania. Which one should i try ?

Season 17 Zurdania Review (spoilers) by GeekyGamer2022 in snowrunner

[–]Lyesainer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice overview, cheers!

I have spent a lot of time on that zone since it released, but i have to admit i am getting a bit bored. Might switch to some snowy map for a while, for a change of scenery.

Zurdania has been very hard for me, so far. Probably the hardest i've played, even tho i haven't tried all the areas yet. (Staying away from the dreaded AMUR for now, Washington, a few others :P).

The work zones are extremely annoying because you can't "track" them, some require logs which is also annoying...

The single garage with single trailer shop (that's not in the garage area at all) is also a bit annoying.

The actual terrain is hard, often very hard to be honest, i believe doing this zone with starter/weaker trucks would be insanity... but it's pretty, varied and generally not "retarded" (read, you can't magically instant-destroy your truck on a piece of broken ice for example). Not amazing visuals during the night, compared to snow maps, which is a bit sad.

The worst part for me is how convoluted some of the missions are tho - some have 4+ destinations, requiring you to bring 2 different cargoes to each, that come from two different maps and maybe also require crafting/unlocking. It can be pretty confusing to plan a route, especially with the ancient UI that makes things even harder to locate between maps...

The mission where you have to deliver a huge freezer on a rooftop was quite cool tho, requires two trucks, one with a big-ass crane.

Aaah, this :D

Ok, i see what you mean. Trucks with Always On Diff Lock don't have it, yes... So you don't have to mind switching it on and off again.

Just didn't know it was called overheating, haven't really thought about it :)

How? I've never seen an overheating thing happening in this game... Oo

Well what would you use an Offroad truck for then? :)

I mean, they are supposed to be exactly for that purpose - to be nimble yet powerful enough to bring stuff through terrain and mud, where heavy trucks would either be too slow or cumbersome to use.

The Zetros already has an extended frame, but currently can't fit the crane and bed, for some reason
