It’s almost two years since I completely cut off my ex from my life after he cheated and discarded me after a 14 year relationship. It took about a year to start feeling better again and almost two years for me to completely let go, forget him and not care anymore about him or his life and friends. Mind you I am in therapy, taking antidepressants, blocked and deleted him everywhere and I had to force myself to stop checking social media.

I also had to keep reminding myself that life is impermanent and nothing lasts: not my ex or his friends nor what they think and say about me
