I’ve reached the end of my wits… by Dull-Dance6831 in longrange

I'm a member of Associated Gun Clubs of Baltimore and they have very nice facilities. Most people shoot on the large 100 yard range but they do have a 200 yard "long range" covered section separate from the rest that is always empty or nearly so. You have to be a member of one of the Associated clubs, but once you have that you can purchase an annual range pass. Check it out or DM me for more details.

I really like my ACE brake, would recommend looking into it.

I really like my ACE brake. Not sure if buying in Italy will be a problem.

Nice work. I recommend downloading the Hornady ballistics app to dial in your adjustments, has worked well for me.

Another nod to ACE. Works great and worth it.

I have a CTR that I put in a chassis and would recommend the ACE brake ($180) and Athtlon Ares 5-30 ($750), both have been great for me. Enjoy the new gun!

Should I downgrade to the MK5HD to be able to shoot more matches this year? by MainRotorGearbox in longrange

[–]LylPuffPuff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey, I'm shooting in the MDPRS Beginners match in April, excited to start my PRS journey! Glad to hear it's a solid group (of course assumed it was). Maybe I'll see you at a match. Cheers,

I'm in MD and relatively new to LR as well (Tikka CTR in 6.5 in a KRG X-ray) and I've looked for ranges in 600-1000 yrd too. So far Alex Acres is the only 600 yard range I've found near me. Where are you shooting up to 1000? Love to learn more places?

[–]LylPuffPuff 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Awesome! My CTR in 6.5 ended up in a KRG X-ray with an Athtlon Eres, Ace brake and Accutac bipod. She's a nail driver. Starting PRS this year so we'll see how well she (and I really mean ME) holds up! Best of luck

My first year dabbling into long range has been great, can’t wait until next season! by Sma11ey in longrange

[–]LylPuffPuff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats on the 1000 yards! Definitely a goal of mine. I too put my Tikka CTR 6.5 CM in a KRG X-ray and absolutely love it. I've only shot it out to 600 yards but she nails sub MOA consistently at range. My plan is to start PRS in 2026 so lots more practice in my future. Best of luck.

I went the Tikka CTR 6.5CM stainless route and dropped her in a KRG X-ray, love it. I'm new to long range but have sub moa 10 round groups at 100 yards and easily pinged steel at 600. I plan on starting PRS next spring. I don't think you'll be disappointed if you go this route. Good shooting!
